Been drinking some 805 and a double barrel ale clone. Big fan of firestone walker.

 

I might actually be able to make it to a Burial release tomorrow. I probably won’t be able to be there super early but I am hoping to be able to grab at least the barrel aged biere de garde and the Feeling Alright stout.

 

Do you guys have experience with the CO2 growlers??

Any opinions or comments on the legitimacy of spending $150 on a growler lol

 

Don’t. Not worth it. They’re more of a novelty.

I got one for a groomsman gift. Havent opened it. Im jealous of the dudes who got a really nice chefs knife as their gift. A growler holds what...4 beers? Can you think of a time you'd like to spend a few bucks on a c02 cartridge to keep the 2 beers you couldn't finish fresh for a few days? Use a cheap growler and finish it all or dump it when it gets flat.

Also, needed a beer tonight. This was a bit boozy but pretty good, friend brought it back from the PNW.

 

See my issue is I never get growlers. I want to start sharing some beers with family and honestly I feel beer doesn’t last in a growler any longer than it lasts in a glass. You either drunk immediately or its flat.
I’d like to get it to last a day or two and still have CO2 so I can transport it.

I have one more of these left in the fridge atm.. After trying the 1st one I decided I'm going to try and age it a little longer to see how it changes. The 1st one was a little too boozy for me.

 

Yeah, that's why I just don't get growlers. They're an imperfect delivery method, allowing a loss of too much carbonation and an increase in 02 intake, neither being good for the beer. The crowlers are a much better idea, because it keeps it in a package that's easier to finish in one go and is a bit better at reducing 02, but still not perfect. I havent used my pressurized growler yet, so take it with a grain of salt. They could be great, but i see it as a waste of c02 cartridges and hassle in cleaning.
