BUYER BEWARE: 3rd Gen Plug-N-Play Tailgate Bolt-N-Lock & Tailgate Bolt-N-Open

You need the PNP Harness, BNO, a second Actuator, and a Integrated Harness Open or you can run two more wires yourself. That’s up to you because I’m assuming with your pop and lock you have two wires already ran from the front to the rear of the cap.

Been sad waiting on the kit so I can install the new tailgate reinforcement I received as well, but it's too damn hot outside each weekend the last month or so anyways. Lol

Finished my install today and was way easier than I expected, 100% pnp and the wiring was a breeze. Thank you @KTJO 4x4 and @tacodnr for the quality products. It wasn’t even as close to as loud as I was expecting, I did use the rubber washers (split one into two) on the actuator connection and have some dynamat coming in the next few days, but honestly don’t even need it.

The new rod feels and looks heavy duty, and it gives me more peace of mind as I wasn’t excited about bending a little one.

It comes with instructions in black and white which I found completely legit and easy to follow. There are a couple steps you don't have to do with the new connector rod and bracket for the actuator (skip the drilling and mount the actuator to existing bolts with the bracket, and skip the bending the small rod that comes with the kit and pop in the new connector rod).

Was just about to reply to your PM. I am building the brains of the mod that handles the 3x unlock and Push Button ability with lockouts. I am waiting on Cable Harnesses to come in then I'll start building. Ship date from my supplier is August 16th, should be in production on my end shortly after. TAILGATE OPENER MOMENTARY SWITCH



This is a momentary switch that I did a write up about a few pages before in the other thread. It will come in BLUE and it just has TAILGATE on it. I should be receiving the final drawings from CH4x4 today. They were shipped to me yesterday. It is going to be sold on @DSIM side with the Tailgate Opener Relay Module with the “B Harness”. V1 will REQUIRE a MOMENTARY Switch ONLY!!! When DSIM comes out with V2 eventually, it will account for a latched switch option as well, which will only allow for a 2 second pull on a latched push button until it's reset. We found it best to sell it with the “B Harness” so there is no Customer Confusion.

However, I will ALWAYS have these MOMENTARY Switches AVAILABLE through his side as I feel they are the BEST option for this kit and this mod personally. Also, if there is any customer that would like to customize their switch for it to say something other than TAILGATE or for it to be a different color other than BLUE, the best part is, you just have to PM me. CH4x4 will work with me and I just have to place an order with them and they will order it. Again, this is a MOMENTARY Switch by CH4x4 that they currently do not offer on their website at all. I have been working with them for like two months now and they made it specifically for this kit
