I've got another dadgum housewarming party to go to tomorrow, down near the arsehole of AL in Trussville.

 

Are you throwing it for them, or are the homeowners throwing the party? Trussville used to be a nice place, until everybody and their brother wanted to move there!

it's another one of those stupid parties where they are throwing it, because they remodeled.

If Jeannie I don't want to go somewhere, we just make up an excuse or something. Ha! Her coworkers are always inviting her and me to come over for dinner for me to meet their husbands and shit. Uh....no. I have to mow grass, weedeat or clean the bathroom or something.

 

I don't want to go, Amy wants to go, therefore we compromise and both go. You know how that works.

I'm always fine with a dinner or hanging out or whatever, but stupid ass parties with a bunch of folks I don't know or care to know, just so we have to bring you a gift because you spent some money? nah, screw that lol.

as previously stated, VERY FIRST TIME home buyers...sure go for it, or even new couples buying their first house together....but any other reason, don't call it a "housewarming" party, the house is already warm.

 

Im more concerned about traction lol and being able to make it up some of those loose rock sections lol.

 

You're supposed to throw a housewarming party when you move into a new house. Duh... But as for doing that social shit with folks I don't know, I'm with you on that one. I'd rather be huntin, fishin', backpacking, or ridin' somewhere.

Hell, I thought I'd never be able to pull you back up that hill at Lakeshore. I'm still amazed, because that hill was steep and muddy as shit! If you would have stayed to the right some more, you would have been good to go. Mud has a funny way of throwing you straight into the ruts sometimes.

Well, my sliders are shipping next week. My boss is going to powder coat them for me when he gets the chance. Skid plates will follow soon and probably a Dobinson's suspension and finally another set of larger tires. Hoping to have my truck all set up by the end of the year.

 

I'm not trying to break anything either, so we'll definitely take it slow and easy. I've offroaded all my life and can pretty much look at something and tell if my truck can make it or not. If I have to wonder if I'll make it, then I'm not attempting it!
