Custom LED Map and Dome lights

Yes, was referring to the spring plug adapter thing that came with the dome. I plugged in both ways

 

Put the original one back in, if it works then it’s a problem with the new light, if it doesn’t, then check fuses.

 

Old bulb was blown to begin with, so will have to get a cheap new one to test. But just like that the new dome flashed red a few times again. Thought I had it, then nothing AND NOW the map lights stopped working. Pretty sure nothing wrong with new lights and I have an electric problem on my hands. Still under warranty so will bring in when I get chance.

 

Does anybody know what polarity I should plug the Meso dome light into the socket? Red on right or left?

I have more just took them off the site. I stopped sales so I could catch up with orders and recheck inventory numbers. I'll most likely open them up again next week.

Double check the dome bulb adapter(thing with a spring) I've had a few instances where the wire lead wasn't making full contact on the end caps.

I suggest snapping the dome bulb adapter in first(hardest part as it's a weird angle) then just plugging the small black 2 pin connector into the dome itself. If it doesn't work just flip the connector around. But usually the positive dome is on drivers side.

Yeah, I just used my fathers Power Probe and it is positive on the driver side

I must have pissed off the Tacoma gods, or Meso gods, but one of my maps lights (passenger) also won’t work. Order #12700. I sent you an email reply to my confirmation email. Guess my eyeball rods and cones will survive a little longer...

I don’t mean to sound like a 5 year old staring at the sun, but I can stare into the dome light longer than I can stare into the map lights. Take that information and use it as you wish

On the maps lights, anyone else’s plug in very loosely? I’m a bit concerned the plug is going to wiggle loose and lose connection.

The internal brass prongs of the overhead socket are not very stiff. They can get pushed flat from aftermarket bulbs, or simply plugging/unplugging multiple times.
If yours is loose, it's an easy fix. Just use a small flat head or sharp pick too and bend the prongs back in towards each other.
This will reset the grip, and make the bulb adapters nice and snug!

Got mine and installed today. Took less than 1 minute. Love your plug n play simplicity! Can't wait for the new goods from the email. Straight crushing the tacoma market.

 

Mine wouldn’t work either but I switched the push pins adapter to red and black vs the other is red to red ,black to black and then it worked . Maybe try that if u haven’t

 

I tried every combination of connector and orientation during install. No dice. @MESO as usual is taking care of it.

 

Too many pages - but I’m having a slight problem. After install my lights don’t turn off when I shut my doors and lock my truck. I had LEDs before and just switched them to MESO maps and domes and the only way to shut them off is to turn the switch to off before I get out of my truck.

 

Just got my red dome to complete my red set. Love the reds for my regular needs and date nights (like I had tonight) Have my full whites I’m gonna swap when I need them for camping and holiday trips when I need the sun when it’s pitch black out. Love having two set ups for both my needs. Feeling complete.
