I’m interested I know there are some others that would be too. Do you have any areas in mind?

Heading up to Grand Teton and Yellowstone a week from today, plan on spending two weeks in the area. Can you recommend any camping areas? I know they get packed quickly and saw the sites listed online, but if there are any lesser known I'm open ears. Outside of the park too.

I know there’s plenty of places in Jemez that we could hit or we could look into hitting a ohv area. Just wanted to get everyone’s opinion or see what input we could get. So shoot me some ideas and we will see what will be best for everyone

Hello and good evening. Thought I would introduce myself to you all. Name is Brian and a former resident of Arizona where I was born and raised.

I've been living in and around New Mexico since the end of January 2019. I moved to and lived in Farmington from the end of Jan. to the end of April where I moved to Hobbs to work in the oil fields. I'm now back living in Farmington though.

Below is my 2012 TRD OR DCSB turned partial Overland and has 138k on it.

For a time I had a White 1996 Camry, but recently sold it before coming back to Farmington. The Camry had 120k on it when I took ownership of it back in April 2018 and left my possession with about 138k on it.

Who is this guy? Spotted this down in Hobbs near the beginning of May?

I may or may not have been admiring it for a few minutes.

I’m in Ruidoso for the next few days, any easy trails for the kid and I to go on? I personally can handle the tougher stuff but she can not.

Are forest service roads all open to highways vehicles? Any one local? I spent the last few days in Colorado but I’m still itching to be off road. Thanks in advance.

Pic for attention: p.s had to get new shoes in a hurry.

Any of you Familiar with Locker 505?

    https://locker505.org/

Good Friend of mine runs this Non-Profit that clothes school kids. It is a great Story!!

Would any of you 505'ers be willing to do a roundup or run that included a clothing donation? Just a thought I had, haven't put much more effort to it, but might be something to get us all together and do some good in our community!!

Maybe it is a sock run, or something like that, everyone brings a package of socks....

Let me know if anyone is interested.

I'm not familiar with the organization but would be more than happy to donate, kids shouldn't have to worry about that stuff. It would just be a plus if we can get some tacoma people together also.

Look at the link, great organization, great people, and the great thing about Kim is she is 100% volunteer. Not like most NP's where the CEO makes a ton of money. Anyways, yes your right, would give us a chance to meet somewhere, have a little fun discussing Taco's and meet people. I am all about giving back to the community, and this is just something I thought of.

I haven't really been in the Ruidoso area in a while so I wont be a huge help but here is a link to the MVUM for the area you'll be in https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5413948.pdf I know there is at least one member that lives down there that can probably provide better info @STravis

Travis was a real help already. We checked out a few FS roads and some were quite technical.

The Guadalupe Mountains, west of Carlsbad have some easier-but-interesting trails (dirt & gravel roads). Sitting Bull Falls is in that area, to name one place that I can think of at the moment. Most of SE NM is oil country, pretty flat.

The Ruidoso area is nice and a bit cooler weather wise. We have plenty of good camping and cool spots to explore. It's about 10 hours from San Antonio but it's not a terrible drive.
