My first build was a PSA kit and I am very satisfied with it. I ultimately tweaked it a bit with a LaRue trigger and some different furniture (mine is a rifle, not a pistol). It turned out to be very accurate and reliable.

Some people will put PSA down but I've had nothing but good results with them. Like anything, you can find higher quality products but whether you really need to spends those dollars is up to you. I decided to build a 300 Blackout pistol for my go to home defense weapon. My current "go to" is a 1943 Inland M1 Carbine. I opted for a PSA build - upper and lower, bought lower components from various sources like a LaRue MBT and just added an ambi charging handle. I've been putting it through its paces on the range to confirm reliability. At this point I've put about 300 rounds through it - 250 of the rounds have been subsonic without a suppressor. Not a single malfunction at this point and even with a 7.5" barrel it's damned accurate. Another 200 rounds or so and I'll swap it out with the M1 Carbine. For me, PSA has been a solid value company.

That Larue MBT trigger is awesome for the money. I have two sitting on a shelf for future builds.

Absolutely! I use them in all my builds. For the price, they are superb triggers.

    Nice.
They’re pretty slick rails, but for my money I’d probably get a PRI CF Handguard.

Thanks brother, amazes me how people are worried about the weight of their weapon. Then go and double it with stuff they don't need or know how to use lol. I blame Call Of Duty.

It depends on what youre using it for. if youre gonna use it for the range...put all the crap on it you want. If youre competing then i can see weight being a thing. Yea my buddy showed me a Glock with all this crap on it...i said "this is a gun straight out of Men In Black" lmao

Finished this build recently. Rebuilt the upper after finding that my older aero upper's barrel extension was machined...off, leading to a comically crooked barrel

new aero upper, bcm ELW barrel/gas block, surefire warcomp and geissele blembdy noodle boi mk 16. Still with the colt bcg/lower, but lower has geissele ssa/e trigger and super 42w.

...Eventually I'll throw an adult optic on this and the scar

Trying to remove the AAC 51T Flash Hider from my Bushmaster Minimalist (16" Barrel so it's not pinned/welded). I can't get it to budge. Time to apply some heat?

Looks good, I was wondering if you had ever found out what caused your barrel to not be concentric in the handguard, I’m surprised it was the upper.

Heat or soak in water, heat will defeat red loctite but if they use Rokset it will need to be water.
I would guess it’s likely rokset as it’s typically used more for suppressors due to heat concerns.
