Is anyone using Redline Water Wetter? I use it on my older aluminum engines that call for Xerex Gold. Coolant temp averages around 183 F.

No. Just buy new ones. Nobody is going to pay attention to them on a stock truck. I get being OCD and doing things that maybe only you will notice but man you take it to the extreme lol. https://www.walmart.com/ip/24-Toyot...oHW7kUPxTd-nLvt8gPiSn4rBgzr1QFm4aAiPsEALw_wcB

If you're averaging 183 you don't need it lol I average 188 and most people hover around 200 it seems

    Stuff. Also things.
Brett and I used the Yukon 4340 shafts from LROR, not the Longfields. Turns out that the Yukon shafts can only be used on 01-04 trucks if bearings from 96-00 are used because the later bearings have a wider inner race that interferes on the 4340 shafts. It took us awhile to figure it out, but once we went with the older bearings it all went together perfectly.

I do recommend buying new clips and retainers as well.

I was advised by a buddy at a shop to use these rather than stop leak in a can. I never had issues with my heater core getting clogged up but I ran a lot of water through the system after I had fixed everything

I hear ya, I've seen it too. I had a customer losing coolant in a 2002 Honda Civic and was being consumed not dripped. He didn't want to pay to have head gasket job done so he called me a week later and asked if I would put in this magic bottle cure stuff and I told him don't waste his time, blah, blah. Short story he said he'd pay me my time anyway and I still didn't want to. Who like doing something they know will fail to a customer's vehicle?! Not me, he convinced me to do it. So I did, it was different process than one I tried prolly 15 years ago. But similar enough. And I'll be damned if it didn't hold up and stop the consumption. Now this was a beater commuter car. And who knows really what internally is going on. But it's been 3 years now, I think. Wow. But last I saw him was about a year ago and was still chugging along. I agree with you in general about the product though. I only suggested it if he was in a bind and no other options.

I stand corrected, it was just an adjustable spanner wrench that I used, not one of those pipe wrenches with the teeth on them. That might have actually been easier though, the problem with the adjustable wrench was getting it to bite down and fit snugly, took some time and muscle but finally got it to work.

Wow. It's been almost 1000 pages since I've been in here.

Just got VLEDS for the retrofit brake/tail lights. Turn signals already converted.

Had a burned out Drivers side head light. So I replaced both of them. What a ^%$#&* pain in the Butt. Made me wish for 1960's or 70's headlights. Easy to replace. I had to remove the Battery, and the Air Intake Box. I did get a good look at my seriously cracked neck on my washer fluid container. So, that's another item to add on my never ending list of things to do. And from what I've read, these Sylvania replacements won't last as long as OEM.
