    Oh boy. Where to start....

First: Here’s my truck ( see photo ).

    4 inch Maxtrac. Bilsteins.
    295/70/17 Nitto.

Second: I’ve developed a Squeak... when I accelerate...or take turns.. or sometimes when I go over a small bump...

I’ve stepped on the bed and made it rock ...no squeak.. stepped on the side of the door area... made it rock.. no squeak. Gone over speed bumps slowly ... no squeak.

My shop says it’s my Leafs. They used some type of ... Lube ? Spray... WD-40 material. They checked my lift. Everything is nice and tight. However. I still squeak.

My next stop. The dealership. The squeak is driving me insane. Has anyone else figured this out ?

EDIT: Squeak coming from the rear of the truck.

The dealer isn't going to do squat with a lift kit

Can say for sure, but I watched a video the other day that showed them greasing the little plastic pads between the leaf springs. Worth a shot?

You're just gonna have to live with it... is what you'll find if you read other threads.

or you can pull your leafs apart and put rubber pool lining between each leaf, Im too lazy to do that so a good sub and amp should do the trick too

Welcome to the land of lift issues. Starts with squeaks, then rattles, then blown CV boots, etc. There's a reason I havent lifted my newest truck...good luck.

This is a ridiculous over generalization. Probably true with every 6 inch lift out there, but not true for quality 2 to 2.5 inch suspension lifts and quality add a leaf kits. Also it’s a truck, not your son, have some fun, take some risks, don’t brush your teeth one night, get out of your bubble once in a while.

Maybe, but every truck I've lifted (and yes with a "quality" lift) has had some squeak, rattle, etc. develop. At some point you will run into something, guarantee it, most are no big deal / easy wrench time and as you said, gotta pay to play, but you are kidding yourself if you think you can change suspension geometry and not have something down the road. So many people are quick to jump on the lift bandwagon and then are upset when they run into an issue and the dealer says sorry not our problem.

Yeah but at some point even on stock trucks you’re going to have to replace CVs, shocks, etc. if you off-road it, that will actually all happen faster on a stock truck than on a well modified one

You'll replace them far sooner on a lifted truck than a stock truck, especially CVs. And no one is arguing lifting to enhance the capability of your truck off road, but for those that don't off road, staying stock will be less headaches, less maintainence, etc. Even for mild off roading stock is the better option cost and maintainence wise. My initial comment was simply stating that you change it from stock and you're going to run into these things whether simple fix or not but most likely won't be covered by the dealer for obvious reasons.

Cut some pieces of bicycle tube into small strips. Lift the truck and then use a prybar to separate the leafs. USE PLIERS to put a small strip of the bicycle tire rubber where you can see that the leafs are making contact.

Technique I used and have had zero squeaks in about 5 years.

OP: And from which end of the truck is the squeak? You really have not told us. We will all be :notsure: without that simple little bit of direction.

OP I would look at your front shock bushings, I developed a squeek similar to what your describing on my 2015 a year in and that was the culprit.

My Leaf packs squeak no matter how much you lube them. Just turn the music up and rip it.

That’s what I thought too, especially as the shop tried lubing the leaf springs and that didn’t help. But it could also be the front bushings too- OP has to do some directional sleuthing for us to know for sure.

Don't have experience with 4'' lifts, but arent those usually DB, I could see that bolt on the cross member causing some squeaks.
