That's what we call an 'open window'....you gotta jump through it not knowing if you're gonna land softly or fall out of a 12 story building

You're young enough you'll heal either way though....go for it

Do take a pic of your cable setup, I’m going to be running security clamps for the tent and nuts for the rack but I want to have extra countermeasures.

Two determined people could take that thing off. Took the Tepui dude, me, and @Sperrunner to load it onto the rack.

This of course is how I took it off without any help.

Just got my FCC GMRS license, just need them to process it and give me a callsign. GMRS is a lot more casual than HAM for what I’m doing with it. I can finally use those Baofeng radios I have for trips.

Sounds like it hasnt worked since they had the transmission out .
Youve got 90 days to bring it back and get them to have a second look .
Sounds like the manual shifter needs to be re-adjusted .

First thing I would do is re-adjust the slop in the shifter .
Once that is done , unplug and re-plug all the electrical connections on the transfer case making sure they are clean and seated properly
If it was working good before the trans was out , chances are , its just an adjustment issue

Raining north of you today. It should be out of your way by afternoon. It cooled things off.

Yeah I heard that off in the distance early this morning. I think the lightning scared the people across from me away. They started packing up rather loudly at 5 am.

LOL. All of our really bad storms start out around Hot Springs then head northeast up HWY 5 (a.k.a. Old Stagecoach Road) then rake across the northeast part. The old adage about tornadoes coming from the southwest is true around here. Old Native American legend has it the road was originally cleared by the big winds. Just need to know where to live to stay out of the path.

    Memphis rocks!
that was the very first day-trip i took with my truck on 31-May-97 with a wee 1,000 miles onit
i was located outside of St Louis at the time so very easy to go there and back on a Saturday and test out my new truck which had just had its first oil change :) got all of the initial factory shavings (or something like that) out and new oil and filter put in and on. I sorta recall the dealership in IL saying i did not need to do oil change this early at 1k miles but I insisted because I had just paid a mini-fortune on this beast and wish to get a good maintenance start onit to last a long time which is almost a 1/4 century now!
