Where to sell OEM wheels and tires

This site unfortunately won’t allow me to post in buy/sell because I don’t have enough contributions. Trying to sell my OEM 18 OR wheels and tires in Denver. Where should I go to sell them, and what’s a fair price? Only 2700 miles on them

Tried craigslist twice with no luck.

 

Just browse for a bit and get your posts up. Then you can get them sold here! There are plenty of topics that I'm sure you could contribute on. I'm in the same situation.

 

Different cities and towns where I live have their own weekly publication where people sell things. Anything like that in Denver?

 

I sold mine on Craigslist.

I tried to basically give my Sport wheels away here, got no takers. Listed them on Craigslist and had a bidding war for them. lol

 

I think part of your issue is the tires. Almost nobody is going to want the wheels AND tires.

 

I would have taken them and used them as my winter rims if I had known. Only issue is I'm on the other side of the country.

Still would take them for winter set, except they are 16" in stead of 17".

 

I think I was asking like $200-250, just to get them out of my garage. No takers. I listed them on Craigslist, and that day I had a ton of interest. Ended up selling them for $350. The guy even drove up from Mexico to buy them.

 

Hot damn, he must really have needed those.

 

If I recall correctly, I think he owned a wheel shop down there.

@Porter27D sorry to jack the thread my man, but like Molon said, just browse around, post some stuff, maybe some hints and tricks if you have any, and you will get to the requirements in no time!

Worst case, keep trying Craigslist.

 

450-500 sell on OfferUp, Facebook marketplace. Sold mine within hours

Facebook marketplace and local fb buy/sell pages. You might have luck on fb Toyota groups, never know til you try. With only 2700miles on the tires, I would expect them to add decent value, getting you $400-500 for the wheels/tires with the right buyer.

Quick story...
I sold my OR wheels/tires at the dealership while taking delivery, to a guy who came in with a flat. He saw my new SCS wheels and asked about the stockers. I said $700, he ran to the ATM as fast as he could. I knew I could get 800 for them but I was thrilled to not have to even touch them haha. It was a win-win since he was gonna pay $300 for a new tire.

 

Offer Up, Letgo and Craigslist are my three go to. I am in Atlanta area. You really have to keep the price low.

Owner of local 4wd shop told me that most buyers are wanting to pay no more than cost of tires alone. So I kept waiting and lowering my price until gone. I have sold about 4 sets and it’s the same story every time. List, wait and lower price...

Recently sold Limited wheels and Michelin tires for $250 and was happy to get it.

He never mentioned what he was asking for them. Most likely asking way to much, like the people around here. They ask anywhere from $800, to $1200 that's crazy. Worth, like others mentioned $300, to $500.

 

Try facebook marketplace, alot of people ask way too much for them though, with your mileage I'd say don't expect more than $800.
