I'll tell you what, I'll do you one better and I'll get you an iridium colored one.

That was my thoughts too, but I didn't feel like rolling the dice so I went with the well reviewed Pioneer just to be on the safe side.

I'm very choosy of the mods I do and how it impacts my time off these days.

I've always ran the shorter belt which is appropriately sized for the pulley setup.

 

I have one that was just delivered yesterday. I will let you know how far off it is and how much modification it takes to make it fit

I am using most of it.
I have a temp sensor inline for my Efan controller so I have a few inches of stock hose then the temp sensor, then the blue hose.

 

I have his old set. It's what is on my truck now.

 

Dam.....he said that lower bracket was interfering with the hose. How did you get it to work?

 

I got a new to me supercharged Taco and it has a few things that I am not aware of the function:

1. What does this little red button do? I'm assuming it's tied into the boost system?

2. I have this cool digital display, but I have no idea what's it's displaying outside of the one labeled RPM. What does this show me and what should I be looking out for?

3. What is the button on the boost pressure gauge for?

 

My guess the button is for PLX Multifunction gauge or an aftermarket alarm systems valet switch.

If I had to take a WAG at what your seeing: RPM, Engine Load, Air intake temp (at MAF), and Coolant temp.

Yeah man I remember it clearly wouldn’t work.

 

Now a man needs to be careful picking a fight with a Dodge and Ford diesel, because you can turn the wick up on those and get hurt. But today I’m 2-0 and there was a lot of black smoke in my rear view mirror as I drove away.

Indeed. In the SE part of the country it’s easy to set the to set the hook with a loud stand on the throttle...must teach the little Tacoma a lesson...

 

Even if it was trimmed? I know the stock lower coolant hose has to have like 2” trimmed off for it to work.

 

we could call hps and have them make a coolant hose that works for s/c specs. they can make anything. maybe another GB?

There is a specific trd part number for the proper size hose. It’s way overpriced from Toyota but they could use that for R&D.

 

I'd be more than happy to get a hold of them if someone has the dimensions or a donor hose they would like to donate to them.

Any benefit of having the sensor in the lower vs the upper? Or does it just depend on what temp you set your sensor at.
