Thanks...that makes sense with the rokset. The YHM QD mount flash hider I'm installing doesn't call for rokset, so I hadn't considered it could be on the existing one.

    Is soaking overnight overkill?

I believe 12-24 hours is the “standard”, of it still doesn’t budge after soaking then using a hammer to strike the tool/wrench should do it, from what I understand Rokset is fairly brittle to impact strikes.

Definitely have it done, a good gunsmith will use a lathe to bore the threads concentric to and aligned with the bore so it will end up being a high quality job.

I soaked for 24 hours and NADA - won't budge.

Called BM today and confirmed Rokset is used. He said soak in hot soapy water for an hour.....I soaked for 2.

    Still won't freakin budge. :annoyed:

Guess I'll have to buy one of the AAC 5.56 cans. :D

That’s unfortunate, I would try an impact tool before giving up.
If all else fails SBR it and cut off the muzzle device, I would do almost anything to keep from running an AAC rifle can (half joking)

I do want it off as I want to run that YHM Turbo. I may track down a good gunsmith.

I’ve heard the turbo is a great can across the board and great value when you look at the cost, I would love to shoot both a turbo and turbo K.

Just finished up this guy in 300blk. Aero upper/lower/handguard, SB Tactical PDW stock, Radian raptor charging handle, PeaceGeek BCG, Magpul grip/magazine, Faxon barrel, and Holosun 510C sight. The Holosun is already giving me problems even though I just installed it and haven't even shot it yet. Hopefully it'll work itself out or else I'll be sending it back. Tomorrow should be the first few shots so I'll have to see.

2 more Griffin cans in jail, with another going to jail soon. Brought my Recce7 in for a conjugal visit with them today for a side by side comparison. The wait is already killing me.

No, I ended up running out of time on Sunday so it'll probably be a little while until I have free time to get to the range. I'm new to 300 as well so I can't really give you any advice.

If cost per round isn't a issue the 300 blackout is a fun round ive shot anything from deer to rabbits and its great for short range

Best way to learn is to get one and get some training on how to use and maintain one. Tons of fun for plinking and competition and much much more.

6.5 creed. Aero upper but the lower I made in a machine shop. Over sized. Fitted it to said specific upper. Ballistic advantage .926 or something barrel. Shoots great. Horrible platform in my opinion for a creed but, I have plenty of .308s so it was a chance to try something new.
