Good news: After 11 weeks of waiting my rear seat delete finally arrived.

Bad news: After opening and unpacking everything there are no instructions contained anywhere nor on the goose gear site.

    https://www.goose-gear.com/collecti...d-row-seat-delete-for-2nd-and-3rd-generations

Very impressed with packaging and product quality. I'd rather not spend the weekend trying to assemble this puzzle blindly.

Also goose gear number just goes to voice mail and I'd assume I get no reply from the contact us anytime soon.

If anyone has some or some assembled pictures from something other than the top side, that would sure help.

Just got a call from Brian at goose gear and we talked through things. Got his number and email and he said he will be available if I’ve got any more questions during the install this weekend.

Why don't they enclose the sides? Start pulling stuff apart, you can figure it out!

For that much cash, and not a huge amount of space saved, you would think they could A. produce them faster than 3 months, and B. could include some directions. 5 points from Goose Gear House.

They're working on a kit, I talked with them the other day. Hoping to finish in 2-3 weeks.

I think the production time issue is that these are relatively low on the production # list, so they're busy cranking out a lot of other products and fitting these in where they can.

I will 100% hold them accountable for no directions; I saw that before my order for this (3 weeks in to the wait) and while it didn't influence my opinion, it's pretty crappy. I was thinking about making an install guide but with how hot it is here, I'm going to want to just finish it and get it done asap.

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it in a non SR truck. Send them a message through their contact us page, their website tends to not be updated with what is actually available. When I ordered mine, it still said the rear wall panels were extra and coming later

I made a rear seat delete modeled after this one that was make by a fellow member. Have all of $45 in it. Used the seat belt bolt locations to lock it down. Bought some 12x12" interlocking foam pads to cover it. Dog loves it!

So for others doing this - here you go. If you’ve got questions, let me know

    Tools required
    Sockets
    10
    11
    12
    14

    Allen
    5/32
    5 mm

Remove rear seats, seat belts, and storage bins (10/12/14 mm socket). If desired remove the seat belts in the C pillar (10/14 mm). Remove the under seat storage bin (this just pries out)

The goose gear platform uses the mounting holes for the seat brackets, 2 other bolts on the 60% side and the lip where the storage bin was connected.

First thing is to attach the “leg” to the platform. I had to loosen the bolts attaching the 80/20 track to the platform, slide the leg in then tighten it all down. Space these out so they are flush with the end of the track.

Once you’ve got the leg attached, place the platform in the rear of the truck and start lining up the bolts. Get things started but do not tighten anything. The large bolts mount where the seat brackets were, the long skinny ones are the two random holes on the 60% platform, the short ones with washers and lock nuts are used to attach to the storage bin hole. Everything should have a washer on to go between the bolt and platform. The storage cubby just has lock nuts on the bottom side.

After you’ve got the bottom lined up, add the brackets for the rear wall.

Install the rear wall, starting with the bottom bolts (6 on 60%, 4 on 40%). After that, install the bolts for the rear wall. You may need a long pry bar to raise the rear of the platform to get the bolts started and not cross thread them

If you have both the 60 and 40, there are brackets that connect both these platforms. Install the 60% first, then these brackets, then the 40% side.

You’ll need to do some adjusting to make everything line up, but once you’ve got everything started, it’s just a matter of tightening it all down.

Once it’s all tightened down, then adjust the latches for the doors. This is done with a 10mm end wrench.

Check to make sure everything is tight and you should be set. I didn’t have the back panel quite tight enough initially. Once everything is tightened down, you shouldn’t have any rattles and it’s a very solid platform and there’s a huge amount more space in the back of the cab now.

Looks nice. Already removed my rear seats. If I can drop some weight, this will definitely be a future purchase.
