If the tooling process really takes 90 days to complete (Started March 1st), we should have more news by the first week of July. If I had to guess, testing would take another month or so after the tooling is complete. Welp, have fun with the looong wait everyone

i'm there with you.... look too skinny and not truck like wheel as much as I want to love them they look toy like to me

If they can hold weight, which I’m sur is no issue, and shed damn near 10#’s per wheel I’m thinking about dropping that cash. It’s a LOT of cash for wheels... but driveability with 57# mud tires, 28# wheels, and a 4 popper is less than ideal.

With these (alleged 18#’s per) and new all terrains (50#’s per) shedding 17 on each corner would make my truck feel like a Miata. Always wanted some bronze wheels as well.

I'm curious to hear/see one actually having that real world test done... that's a ton of cash for not that much weight reduction these are what about 18-20 lbs? not sure just how much of a difference in mpg and get up and go you'd see really

My guess is it would take quite a long time to see any fuel cost savings due to the high initial purchase price of the wheels.

The latest update is

Due to the fact that they cannot get a positive strenght test on a large pcd version. They have switched and started production on a te37X which they have tested and have found no weak points in the wheel. Weak points means possible flaw areas within the spoke that may not be able to handle the weight of the vehicle and could possibly cause failure. Volk racing is an actual company that tests all of this and just doesnt produce a wheel due to style and size. They thouroghly test their product to ensure you get the perfect product. Upon testing of the te37x, they deemed that has no weak points in any of the spokes due to the flat design of it.

As of 3/1/19 the TE37x went into tooling. Tooling is the process in which every size engineer and draw out full specs on the wheel to get it ready for manufacturing. This process usually takes 90 days. From that point a sample set will be made and road tested. Once all testing passes it will be ready for production. I have asked several times for a guaranteed date so I can update you guys but up til now I still have not been provided that. At this point best thing to do is to update after every step is completed. Once tooling finishes we can get a better look at when these will go through its next phase and how long.

Volk racing has expressed their sincerest apologies for the wait. They ask for your patience as they produce you the strongest aftermarket wheel that will be available for our trucks. We will keep you posted as news comes along.

Hey guys I messaged Chuck last week about the 17's. He mentioned sometime in November for the demo. Not sure on the release date? Hope this helps. Just gotta be patient
