I've also had good luck with BOESHIELD. I was late applying, but have had zero corrosion since

I was looking at the Lightspeed racing UCA's for the ball joint type, and adjustability.. and the replacement ball joints arent outrageously expensive for a pair..

Guys max out everything with jba. Might get a rough pair like @Unchained 5150. His rusted out pretty good. Mine aren't bad. But I love mine. Not a comparison to others. Just a personal account of what Ive experienced. Hit the zerks twice a year.

I've heard good things on those.
Any new UCA is going to need service some more than others.
I believe any that you can rebuild is a huge plus, beats buying again:thumbsup:

Love mine and I bought a new pair, sanded them and repainted them with Rust-Oleum Professional Red then I used Eastwood Epoxy Clear on them. Going to see how these make it through a winter in the Salt Belt. Usually the Ball Joint top plate rusts out quick, let's see if I can prevent this.

I can't this year AOAA is that weekend or weekend before.
You should come it's a blast and trails are easier just tight, compared to Rausch Creek.

Just keep em clean when you can.
Salt won't really effect anything when it's stupid cold...
It's when the temps start warming up.

That's why I figure the epoxy coating will help as well.

I'll probably be coating mine in paint as well.. clearing them, and then let it dry for a while... then fluid film it all once installed.... (just be sure to not spray the brake rotors....)

    I wish I did mine...
I guess I it's still possible but it's going to be a pain at this point.
Good call getting that done will definitely tack on more time for preventive maintenance.

its a rubberized coating, comes in quarts.. it's thick like undercoating, and is used to dip your tool handles in to make a rubber grip on them... not sure how well it bonds to a part.. but would be interesting to try...
