It has since been finished! So full access. We came up union springs rd Friday, today we ran down to the lake and relaxed, came back up. Then ran down to reddish knob to watch the sunset. Hanging around the fire now and will head home in the morning.

Would you go full bore into the truck, or get something fast?

    To run this backwards.

To old for fast anymore, but if I did. It’d be on two wheels.

As for the truck.. I seriously doubt it. I have been falling out of the off road thing. That said, sometimes being an adult sucks, and that life thing keeps getting in the way. Haha.

What little reading I have done, the Taco takes a lot for a decent sized tire. I’m not sure if I wanna go that far in to getting it, hence the possibility of the sale on said jeep.

Now, I do have something else I could play with again. It’s been down for awhile, but not to sure I want to go that route. And i’ll leave it at that.

Honestly, If I had to do it all over again, i would buy a fzj80 land cruiser, put a 4 inch lift on it, and run 37s.

But, You arent wrong about the move to decent size tires.Unless you go to the new Marlin Crawler RCLT, then it should be pretty easy (just cost alot). Im in the middle of moving to 35s myself. Ive got wheels in the basement, New UCA's in the backseat of the truck, just re geared to 5.29s, have timbren front bump stops on order. I still need to order tires, and then after all said and done, I may still end up cutting 2 inches out the entire fender. But it will look sweet. And it'll be what i want.

Or you could sell the jeep, buy a 1st gen, then beast it out.

Rite. The Martin will give me something to look at. Will search it tomorrow for shits and giggles.

An FZJ80 would be nice. Hell and older Hilux at that.

To get off topic some.. I have always liked the Land Rover D110 (wagon or Hicap truck) but importing can be a pain in the ass, and no monies for it doesn’t help, if you know what I mean.
Shoot! I wish I still had my 84 and a half SR5. 22r motor, 5 speed with 2 inch AAL’s. 5 gear was useless, but live axels and 33’s was nice 30 years ago. If you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m partial to solid axles.

I totally understand the draw to them, and I absolutely will agree with anyone that believes that the main reason we dont have them on most vehicles in the US is because people here are soft for the most part.

Very true. The jeep is a 14 with a manual. Can still get decent monies for it. Only has 52xxx miles on it. I haven’t beat the crap outta it, but do keep it up and clean.
I read awhile back you are gonna retire. Rock on, man!

Whatcha gonna do with the next chapter in your life?
