hey, i have a white truck and i just powder coated my rims black so i want to do something about the badges, the chrome looks to stock for me. I like the idea of blacking them out to match the rims but i saw this and i like this badge

    http://www.amazon.com/TRD-Black-Chrome-Trunk-Emblem/dp/B0039N5C94

so i was thinking about taking all emblems off and putting this on the back. It would be nice to find a black chrome "tacoma" emblem for the sides though"

or should i buy 3 of these black chrome emblems and put one on the back and the other two where the "Tacoma" ones are? Any opinions?

    Thanks

    Too many mods to list
If you wanted to buy 3 of these, you could save some money by buying them off Ebay for a couple bucks each, then painting the chrome with the Duplicolor Black Chrome paint. Remember to tape the red and white parts. :D You can also paint your regular badges with this.

Also, these wont look good in the sides IMO, but they would like fine in the rear where it says V6 etc etc.

That's what I'm going to do. Between the black rims, black bull bar and black skid plate, black Toyota front emblem, I don't like the way the rest of the chrome badges stick out now. And I think I'd rather just debadge then paint them. And I already removed the TRD Sport badges so I think that emblem would look good on the back.

I did the same thing... debadged the rest, and added a black chrome trd badge to the tailgate. I love the clean look! My bumper has also been wrapped in matte black vinyl since this photos was taken.

I taped (using painters tape) it in place before I did the final stick, that way I could stand back and have a look, and make any adjustments if nessesary. I tried a few different places, and that was the place I was the most happy with.

    Good luck!
