They did. Supposedly they've remedied their compound. Supposedly they're one of the better MT in the snow as well

I had stock size mounted last year, no issues on 10,000 miles... Probably less but it was a good tire.

    Nice!

Haha yeah I ain't no tireologist. I just do a light research , try something and learn. I was told duratracs suck. I probably have a few hundred miles using them under 20psi and 40k overall with no issues.

Jist that magic triangle. Longevity, cheap, traction. Pick any two, right?

General Grabber AT2 would have been my choice for all terrain. I do really like my Mastercraft MXT's though, which is Cooper's off brand tire. Kinda similar pattern to STT Pros

I have the 6112/5160 bilstein combo with JBA UCA's with zero complaints. They also have the lifetime warranty that icon fox and king don't have so I don't worry about needing to rebuild them or rust out on me. The only change that I am making is moving up to the 650lb bilstein coils due to the added weight in the front with the bumper and skid trio since I got them installed.

See, I liked my grabber at2, and they lasted for ever. But the rubber was super hard on those. Just were not good for me on snow and rain.

I've always liked the master crafts. Saw some on a jeep convoy on my way home yesterday.

I'm just going to wait til fall when these things are about done and just pull the trigger on something. No sense of over thinking it I feel.

But I am still considering c range 285's because so far I've not had any issue and I think it's pretty well documented that I live on shale haha

Honestly, for most of these trucks, especially in our are, Es are way overrated. Not just is wieght, but, sidewall.
Ive torn sidewalls on E KO2s, in a Jeep. And had no issues with C DuraTracs on a Frontier, and Es kn a Quigley. Not a comparison... just my experience. When I put the KO2s on, the Jeep was spending a lot of time on ungroomed beach, caliche roads, etc, and thought I was getting MORE protection.

Tires are no different than Oil.... its a cult thing. Some are clearly much better than others though
If my Wildpeaks didnt randomly feel like they were out of round, Id consider another set... pretty good AT other than that.

May go up to 17s for C KO2s. Or another set of C DuraTracs otherwise.

Yup. That's how I feel. I drove 3500hd up mountains to go pipe weld. Lived in work trucks. Went through lots of tires. I'm in the same camp with the C's.

Theres just a lot of "Info" and opinions out there. I just take it all In lightly and then learn from experience. Half the guys on here know me by now and know I'm not rock crawling or doing anything extreme.

But about 6 guys in here saw my taillights while doing 75 mph on the crap part of NWM to get to the head of the pack that was doing 40. Tires both performance wise and feel help me do that confidently.

I'm a tinkerer. I've got hours in adjusting suspension settings and tire pressure combos. Just trying to stick with the most functional and reasonable set up

I know e-rated is more than I need, but I like how they feel, the stiffness and I’ve never had a flat with them, after a lifetime of always getting flats.

Would C rated do the trick? Probably. But I feel like I’d jinx myself and get a flat if I ever went back. So I’ve now turned superstitious about my car tires :anonymous:

I guess my point is whatever I see the places I go, if someone thing is going through your tire it doesn't matter if it's c or E. It's going through. I hold more value in just being properly prepared and having a full size spare. And plugs.

    Right @Ferball?

So I'm thinking next weekend is a good weekend to install the sliders. They've been in my garage for awhile now. And suddenly I have more free time. Go figure

So, at North Village, as recommended by Drew...

    Yes. Solid recommendation.
Not home, but, pretty damn close.
    Worth the trip.
And a solid to the Element Extra Oak
