I buy and stuff, mostly cars, trucks and boats. I usually do 3-4 a year. Buy them, use them to find any problems, fix the problems, and when I'm tired of them or the opportunity presents itself or I feel like its time to cash out I sell. Normally I use the money from the sell to buy the next thing, usually within a few days or weeks of selling.

I’m a software engineer so I do that on the side. Been doing it off and on for about 5 yeas. I take that money and turn around and either invest it so it makes even more money or pay down debt.

No side hustles really needed, since between the wife and I we have 5 pension incomes and great medical that's also budget friendly.

It wasn't easy getting to where we are, but it sure is paying off.

That said, we do I guess 'hustle' a bit via CList and eBay. Either from what needs to be going via our own downsizing or things we pick up at thrift stores/garage sales and resell. It's enough that we are able to fund $2-3k in charitable giving every year with a focus on children in Cuba and Guatemala. We have good contacts in both places, so we know exactly what's being done with funds or goods we provide.

Couple fun examples. Wife picked up a dress for $4 in a thrift store that she thought looked 'special'. It sold for a bit over $1k on eBay, with a great review from the buyer. While doing some late day garage sales in an affluent neighborhood, I found a box of license plates in a wooden Winchester ammo box, in the trash by the curb. In all the tags brought in over $400 on eBay, then I sold the box for $25.

I've also found that keeping my old tires (which often have a decent tread left) saves on 'disposal fees' from a shop, but they also sell on Clist for $15-20 in less than a week.

None of that is a bunch of money. But it's fun and we enjoy giving it away.

My wife is doing really well as a trainer online. She's also building the team out of beach body on demand. Anyone into fitness should connect with her...spouses, friends, etc. Much of her business is generated by Instagram.

Regular day job I work for a Big Mouse cleaning up after people (hashtag theme park life). The side hustles vary. My primary one is doing professional fireworks displays here in so cal for a local company (I’m licensed with the state to do so). The pay is amazing for a single day. Other side hustle is cleaning floors usually in industrial locations, but we also do houses and such. We also pressure wash from the same rig.

Long days and long nights but I love pyro. It has made me some extra money over the years. That and most recently, music festival special effects.

I also do the Uber thing. I do some consulting.for media. And do some it and phone work when I feel like it.

Side work, lots and lots of firewood. I sell it by the 1/4 cord.

I also make good money clearing fence lines and removing brush.

This next year I'll look into plowing snow off people's driveways.

I have to do it cause the cost of living is out of control here. Plus it's nice getting a little extra cash when you need it. Firewood is like money in the bank. If you need some quick cash, all you need to do is sell some firewood.

My regular gig is a locomotive engineer. For awhile my side hustle was tractor work. I.e. small dirt work projects, tree removal(small ones) etc. Around where I am at, nobody wanted to pay what I was charging. I had a 3 point tiller, and would redo yards and put I'm gardens. I charged 60/hr for random tasks, or charge by the job. Customers would see me till there yard in 2 hrs and then think they could get away paying 120 or so when I had quoted them 300 or 400 for the job. Their reasoning was I did it in two hours, so that's all I had to pay. So I got out of that and said screw the side hustle.

I used to work for the Mouse picking up after people myself. Working for the big guy, a side hustle is almost a necessity.

Agreed. Either your legitimate and charge accordingly or your some moon liter. The old saying goes you get what you pay for, when you get a deal there is usually a reason behind it
