My stock '17 OR squeaks like a MFer after an offroad outing or a bad rain (in Houston). My solution is to use pressure washer on the leaf pack. Resolves issue until next outing or bad rain. It is dirt and grime getting between the leafs that causes my squeak.

NIce looking truck OP. Not for me, I have trouble getting in mine the way it sits. I have no squeaks. Just a whistle once in awhile and I suspect it is from the air conditioner. But it is not bad..

    Update:

Spent a good amount of time... checking spare tire, greasing the proper parts... checking the bushings...

We still squeak. Next step. Putting rubber between the leafs and seeing if this stops the problem.

Thanks everyone for support ! Much love

Try not to stress over it and enjoy the process, I always found wrenching / problem solving oddly therapeutic.

My spare tire was getting very slightly loose and causing a squeak that I thought was the leaf spring bushings for a while. Drove me crazy for a week or so before I realized it was the spare, tightened it back up and the squeak hasn't returned.

    Tried that today. No luck.

    I’m like 99.6% certain it’s my leafs.

They are. It's actually a TSB from Toyota that I had done to my truck. It's called the "Leaf Spring Silencer Pad TSB". Boy oh boy was the dealership mad after installing them and later finding out it was the spare tire carrier. At least I've already got them

Two liberal applications of Fluid Film to my rear leaf packs resolved my squeaks for the time being. Shortly after I installed my lift (3-leaf AAL) I started to get a little squeak in the rear. I had a bit of Fluid Film left in a can and sprayed as much as I could. Squeak went away for a couple of weeks and returned. I stopped by the auto parts store and grabbed another can and liberally re-sprayed everything in the rear. 2 months and 3000 miles later, not a chirp from the rear. We'll see how long that lasts.

They may if there is a tsb issued for that problem.

This has actually been going on for years with tacomas. I remember taking my 96 in because i was getting a creaking noise from the back. They ended up replacing the rear leaf springs and all 4 shocks as per a tsb.

My old Audi had a squeak when it was new-ish. Had it at the dealer 3x to figure it out, never could. Hard to reproduce, you had to go over there right kind of bumps. I was convinced it was rear passenger side suspension.

One day I was cleaning the interior and realized the split fold down rear seats weren't clicked all the way in on one side. They were rubbing against each other causing the squeak. Popped it back all the way in and no squeak.

Moral of the story; might be coming from somewhere unexpected.

Spray down the entire leaf with tire wet from both sides get the bushings and hangers as well . I mean soak them . It will go away ( more of a trouble shooting step) . If it does go away order some fluid film liquid not spray and use a paint brush and slather that stuff on . It works awesome on squeaky leafs . I had a persistent squeak on my OME HD packs and I can tell you this works . The squeaking will only get worse . I'm 50k mi further now btw after the lift.

In another simar thread someone used thick black cable (zip) ties and weaved them through the leaf pack to prevent metal on metal squeaking.

Okay update. Tried everything but the zip ties.

    Options now are:

    Zip ties.
    Entire new leaf pack installed.
    Or
Try Toyota to see if they’ll fix the problem.

Weighing out options now. I’m sitting on a 2 inch block for the rear. Might just say F@!k it and get the new leaf pack.

Edit: The squeak is getting worst.
