Can you transfer that amount to PayPal? I don’t know if he takes that or not.

I added the card to my paypal account. I am not sure if, when I chose to pay with PayPal, will it use the full amount from the card and then pull the remainder from my bank account.

Thanks, I actually did that first mat responded quickly with a suggestion. I haven’t heard back since. I know he is busy with more important things and didn’t want to pester him with this trivial thing.

How much does he charge for software only if you buy a cable used?

The last I knew it was $325, it's been a while since I saw anyone mention it so I'm unsure if this is 100% correct.

Edit: only $325 if you have cable and tratrix openport already. $600 if you don't.

Best to check with OVTune, prices are subject to change.

Anyone running 2.0 notice that the TC rarely locks in cruise control?

My ride to work is 40mph. Tc doesn’t lock in 2.0 like it did every other tune and stock.

150 miles on 87 2.0, still awesome, still don't need SSP. No issues, no shutter, engine seems quieter, keep up with traffic without winding out the engine - and I can finally let friends borrow my truck with being embarrassed, just awesome!

    MY TESTING:
Engine loading vs. shifting/rpms - awesome, shift occurs based on load in every gear (unbelievable right?). On a level road, I held the accelerator (like as if you put a clamp on it) giving the engine about 20% load, 1st gear 2200rpm, 2nd, 2200rmp, 3rd 2100rpm, 4th, 2100 rpm (by this time i am at 50mph so have to take the load off), as load drops it drops to 1600rpm, then 1300rpm. Same deal at various loads, highest was with ~80% load on a slight slope entering freeway - all shifts in the 3300 rpm range, until i hit 75mph, had to take the load off, dropped to 2000rpm. Just awesome.

    MY ONLY POSSIBLE SUGGESTION:
Regarding the 1600 to 1300rpm drop on level roads around 45-50mph: The 1300rpm cruising with little load is fine (nothing like the dreadful "1100rpm lug"), but once you need just a little more power (say 5% load on the engine) it jumps up to around 1600rpm, okay fine, but then back to 1300 very quickly because I am up to speed very quickly. This occasional 'dance' is due to unique situations and is just fine, but I would say maybe program it so it holds the 1300rpm just a fraction longer (e.g., say it shifts from 1300 to 1600 when engine receives 5% increase in load, program it so it takes 8% increase in load before it shifts, or unlocks TC? Whatever it does that make it jump), it seems (to me) with this 2.0 release there is now enough torque to move the truck along at 1300 without needing to downshift as soon. No biggy, lets see what other testers see, all trucks seem slightly different, in the meanwhile pay homage to Matt, our trucks are finally fixed!!!!!!

Still waiting for a few hundred miles more before I engage CC. But I'll check for it once I do. I have OBDFusion and TC Lock is one PID I monitor. Thanks.

Another note today after my commute... Sunday 6th day... I get amazing mileage in the city. My highway mileage hasn’t really improved. 23-24 city and 21-22 highway. Pretty strange but I’ll keep monitoring.

How do you change from 04B03 to 04 B04 ? Or does dealer have to do that ?

You can do it yourself with Techstream. Search this thread. There are a number of posts with both links to download the app and instructions for doing the flash.

I paid 600. There used to be an option on his website for software only. I've heard people pay less if they say they bought someone's "kit", which is literally a cable. Depends on how you word your request, I suppose.

Oh really? That’s kind of weird? Maybe that was in the dongle times? I asked the question today and got $325 as an answer. But I would definitely confirm it.
