I’d go back to a Jeep, try to find a decent price on a TJ in good shape (yeah right)

Trust me, it ain't easy money. I'm stuck up in the Arctic, over my time, with no replacement in sight.

Well, I'd cross my arms and hold my breath and demand, in a very whiny voice, that someone build me a truck.

    Or, this:

I would still be driving my 1988 AWD BMW 325ix. Nothing says move over like a lifted BMW with a rustolium roller paint job and a dead sea gull skull for a hood ornament.

Subaru, i bought the Tacoma as a commuter and the Subaru was actually what i was going to buy. Had a Subaru for a company car and loved it. The reputation on Toyota’s going 250-300,000 miles is one of the reason s for buying it. Already have a newer dsl pickup and MB that the wife drives.

I've been a "Pick Up Man (props to Joe Diffe)" since I was a small boy, and going everywhere with my dad in his 1965 Ford truck. Even if I didn't have a 'legitimate' need for one, I can't function without having a truck. Makes me all twitchy and stuff :annoyed:

If money was no object, and I could have anything else on my dream sheet in addition to my Tacoma, I would have another Dodge Cummins 4x4 (one of the newer ones, 6.7 liter). And a Shelby 427 AC Cobra :D

Maybe a WRX/ STI or one of the hotter Mini Coopers.

Alternatively, I would also consider the new turbo Outback or a 4Runner/FJ Cruiser.

Good choice. I think I'd go for the Lexus GX. I've also had my eye on a Mazda MX-5 Miata as a third F around car. Just need to convince my wife.

IMG_1461.jpg This is my all-time favorite off road vehicle: 2008 Porsche 911 turbo, 6 speed manual. Even gets better mileage (25 mpg highway at 80 mph) than my manual taco

I gave away my Corolla of 13 years and got my Taco.

But I'd probably get a Miata for reliable fun if I didn't have the Taco.

If I didn't need a truck then that means I am no longer working, I am too old to snowmobile and too old to own a boat. I also probably don't have a house at that point to landscape or deal with a dump run. So my answer is:
