Holy shit what sort of repairs? I had an 09 that had problems here and there and may have had a blown head gasket when I sold it.....wasn’t impressed with JK quality at all but it was still really fun. Id consider finding a good TJ for fun someday and the JLs are looking good too we’ll see how reliable they turn out. I’m not sold on their truck yet.

You name it. Computer, valve cover gasket, catalytic converter, etc. In the grand scheme of things a lot of it was ordinary wear and tear type items, but I moved to Hillbilly Bumfuck Egypt and nobody knows their ass from a hole in the ground. I'm not mechanically inclined and neither are the mechanics around here. In one instance I took the Jeep to an independent on four occasions only to find out he would take it down to the Jeep dealership to get scoped. Each time I took it there it was "fixed" and I would bring it back. I went through four different independents attempting to avoid the stealership. On three occasions after being fixed by different mechanics, I broke down on top of the pass. Each time a $600 tow bill and each time, "Just take it to the nearest Jeep dealer." The dealers always ended up fixing the true problem, but by then I had already paid the independents in BFE somewhere in the range of $700-$1500 and then I would be hit by the dealership for $2500-3500 for th real problem. The independents always had the excuse, "Well, yeah we had to troubleshoot it and while we were troubleshooting we found that "X" was bad and it had to be replaced anyways, yada, yada, yada." And me not having a clue got bent over. Now the Toyota just goes to the Toyota dealership for anything and I say, "Fuck it!" There's no excuse for getting anything wrong, it's their vehicle and I suck it up choke down their prices.

Wow well yeah that’ll add up. I had the famous death wobble and the dealership tried to get me to cough up $1000 to fix a handful of things they said were the issue, I said no thanks and took it to some Russians by us, they replaced my steering stabilizer for $200 which fixed the problem, and inspected all the things Jeep said needed replaced and said every single one looked fine. And they were right, Jeep was just fishing for money. Too bad you dont have a mechanic near you like those Russians...

A couple of rear window decals...
'79 E-100 Ecoline (4speed manual on the floor) Dad's, learned to drive on this, once I learned to not be scared by the size of this beast, it was a real party mobile. :drunk:
'83 F-100 PU (3speed on the Tree manual) Dad's, learned to drive on this too and really liked the trans, but had a gutless V-6 topped out at about 80mph.
'89 Isuzu pickup (5speed Manual) The first vehicle I paid for, bought it from my sister in '91 and sold it to my brother in '94.
Unfortunately don't have any digital pics of these.
'95 F-150 SC 4X4 (5speed Manual) My first new vehicle, went to Korea for a year and bought this when I got back. This was a really nice truck, I dumped a shit ton of $$$$$ into it. It had 4" lift with 4.88 gears/lockers, a custom-built 351W motor. It was totaled while parked in front of my house on 9/11/11.

'88 Escort Pony (4speed manual) bought this from a coworker for $800 in '98 for a commuter car to save gas on the PU, it got 42mpg. Sold it in'05 for $800, having only put $1200 into repairs over that time. No pic of this one.
'96 Corolla (5speed) inherited this from my then-wife when I bought the Outback, just sold it last year to a buddy for his daughter. Best value I've ever had in a car. Only thing I had to replace was the starter and the radio.

'05 Outback 2.5XT (Auto) second and last new vehicle I bought, I got it in the divorce, fun car but it had issues, Subaru put a new motor/turbo in it @60K. I sold it with 75K just before going to Afghanistan.

'05 Jetta 2.5 bought this for the ex-wife in '11 just before we separated because she wanted something with better mpg and did not require premium fuel, I only changed the oil once. No pic of this one either.
'05 Grand Cherokee Limited 5.8L Hemi (Auto). I bought this when I moved back to TN. I loved the luxury and power in this SUV, but as with most Jeep/Crysler products it had too many issues.

'12 Taco TRDOR (Auto) I Traded the GC in for this in '15, I doubt I'll ever get rid of it.

    As the Taco is today.

'05 Focus (Auto) Bought this for a DD as my 100-mile daily commute was racking up the miles and my gas bill way too high on the Taco.
