Hey guys I have some new ditch lights on the way and I'm not sure where I'm going to wire the on/off switch.

My 2011 TRD OR doesn't have any free spots.... lol. I'm thinking I could knock out the middle-console "Aux" that I never use and put it there, but that's about my only option and a lot more work than just throwing it by the steering wheel on the left.

So where are you 2nd Gen dudes putting your switches when you have no room left? Thx

drill out the sunglass holder or put in the center area where the aux radio plug is, that gave me room for 8 more switches total.

Yeah I'll probably pop out the AUX.

You could install the 4 switch panel like Grey posted above.

Those look good. You both have 2015s tho. That's a way better spot than where they are on the 2011.

Toyota has the centers more tucked back. I have a us input, aux, and something else I'm forgetting.

I reroute the USB to my glove box so it can go there.

My point was, you can buy the 12-15 panel and swap it out. If yours presently has a cigarette lighter and a power outlet, you will also need to buy another power outlet. It is about 1 hours work taking out the console and dash pieces.

Somebody on here will buy your 3 switch panel.

Not to hijack, I’m looking for an OEM style switch to put a push button on/off for a light bar where OP’s diff lock button would be. Where’s a place purchase one?

Once you pop out the blanks you can easily reach behind from the side and feed the wires through.

I can't remember somewhere online (Amazon?). From what I remember they were pretty cheap.

Did you have to cut anything for the new switches to fit? It appears that each slot has a notch configuration.

Member Iggy makes a switch panel that fits the cubby in front of the shifter. Ch4x4 has panels with different switch counts you can cut into the center console by the cup holders or anywhere there's room. As mentioned above member mesocustoms makes a variety of panels for 2nd/3rd gens. I borrowed ideas from both to make mine, cut out the 4-slots/2power points and replaced with 7 switch slots and below fitted a 4-slot/2-gage/1-regulator panel.

Nope they fit right into the factory hole. If you look at the Amazon link I posted it tells what size hoe they fit whether it's the holes I used or the one's left of the steering wheel. I guess they are different size holes. I did put a small little notch prying out the blanks.
