    I had this one ssgt come want to "borrow" my dvd player while I was TDY/deployed...I told him they were only $50...he said I dont have $50...I said well sounds like a personal problem. Closed the door on his face. LOL. He was living on base and he retired an E-5, they basically had to kick him off base as his terminal leave was over....

    They brought back the old HYT so you can retire as a staff. Before it was 7 years E-4 and the few people I was around absolutely deserved to get kicked out. Now they get to stay in for another 3 years to make rank and when they do, they get to stay in for 20. Couldn't imagine being in for 20 years and accomplishing nothing.

    Ours is called RCP (retention control point), they switched e5 promotable to 17 years as soon as the war kicked off. Pretty pathetic. You almost have to try not to make e6, making it within 10 years shouldn’t even take effort either way.
