Nice review. Glad to see Toyota worked on the shift points for the transmission. It is past time for power seats.

I'm jealous of those power seats. The lack of seat height and thigh support are my biggest gripes with the truck.

Now they add power seats  and it looks like the DRL's go all around now correct?

I still love my 2006 but these are some pretty big upgrades. I'll wait about three years and see how the 4th looks.

Probably. But with the rate of changes in the industry right now I wouldnt be surprised if it's sooner. Personally I like when they space it out and perfect each gen. Also interested in seeing what they do with the Tundra

It was posted a few days ago, but it's all good, maybe some new people will see it.

I wouldn't be surprised either. Sounds like they are pushing to get stuff over to the TGNA (not sure if I got that acronym right) platform as soon as possible and benefit from the efficiencies of having most of their trucks based on a single platform. With the 4Runner and Tundra platforms being so old, I'm guessing they'll switch them over in the next year or two and then the Tacomas will follow a year or so after that.

Yeah some people have noticed also and pointed it out. Nothing officially has been said so not sure if that was intentional or just because it was a prototype. Guess we'll find out when they start hitting lots and/or putting official press images out for it.

The next 4 runner is also supposed to run the 3.5 from the taco. Be interesting trans wise. The new pro taco probs gonna be 50k with these new features. That seat though, need that

Toyota does a major body or generation change every 10 years. That's their model. So don't expect a major change or Gen 4 until 2026 on the Taco.. btw It's pronounced Uray not oooray....

I really like the 2020 upgrades! Really nice!

The 2020 4runner will keep the 4.0 motor.

The every 10 years thing isn't set in stone. If they get the 4Runner, Tundra, etc. over to the new platform and they can get efficiencies and major cost savings from switching the Tacoma over to it as well, they may do it sooner than later. Especially with all the competition now from Chevy, Ford, Jeep, and others, they may move up their plans.

Not sure what the Uray/Oooray things is meant for?

Yeah by "next" 4Runner, believe they meant next gen, not next year.

Well if you check Toyota's history with Trucks and Land Cruisers, 4runners, etc..its a 10 year Gen change. They are pretty conservative that way. I would bet money they will stick with tradition. The guy in the video pronounced it "Oooray."

I don't follow Tundras that much, so looks like I was wrong on that, it looks like the Tundra is on a 7 year cycle. 1st Gen 2000, second Gen 2007, 2014 was minor changes, not sure they refer it 2014+ as a 3rd gen..so 2021 makes sense for a gen change.

My point really is Toyota has been conservative and slow to follow trends.. When it comes to the 4x4 line up.
