    Hi all,

I order the 2nd Gen Tacoma Behind The Grille Light Bar bracket from BAMF with the intention of mounting two 8" Pro-Sport HID lights behind the grill.

That said, after looking at the mounting bracket, I'm questioning whether the 8" lights are going to fit in the space. For those that have used the bracket, how big of a light can be fit below the bracket? Any ideas?

    Thanks

Yeah, there's no way. I have the 6" Pro-sports, and it's about as big as you can go. For the driver-side light I had to move the trans cooler about an inch - depending on where you're mounting these. Also had to relocate the horns.

I've since modified the bracket a bit, but here is a pic of my lights before. You can see that the lights mount a tad low in the grill.

I had a BAMF bracket installed with a led bar and had to take it out in order to get the 6” Daylighters to fit. They are centered vertically in the grill surround with not a lot of room to spare top and bottom. Not sure the 8’s will fit.

Thats a pretty nice set up. What bumper is that and how many tickets have you gotten for the placement of that license plate?

Hah! No ticket yet in like 2 years..... I chalk it up to white-man privilege. Plus I have a theory that cops like trucks.

    US Offroad bumper.

I’ve got KC’s 8” Pro-Sport halogens mounted behind my grill. I think @PoweredBySoy is right, there’s no way 8” will fit if you have a 2012-2015 grill... but the 2005-2011 grill has a larger opening and it is possible.

What bumper is this? I'm looking at something like this or the Hidden Winch Mount.
