I didn't know it could be completely shut off actually, I thought you just had to live with it. And that's a fair time to use it lol only slightly worse than the drive through Illinois to Kentucky via 57 and 24 I have had to pull over and take a nap more than once on that route lol

i hear driving across Kansas is worse, but I have only done that i70 stretch of nothing ONCE ... only remember seeing some oil/gas drilling equipment going to Denver

North Dakota was suboptimal back in the ‘80s. The expansion joints would do your head in.

Lane departure is on the steering wheel. Cruise can be used as either radar cruise or if you hold the button you get traditional cruise control.

I-80 from Des Moines to ogallala is the most boring section of road in the country I’ve experienced.

i80 in Iowa is not bad, lots of cool windmills and a few turns here and there
driving that at night is weird with nothing but blinky red lights far out
it will probably be better once the Bluffs gets all that road work done

i29 north to ND/Canada is a chore, especially in the winter, and then the drive back :(

@Shellshock does the Tundra not have the braking sonar sensors up front? Because on the taco that cannot be turned off, just turned down.

The lane departure and radar cruise can be turned off just fine, and never buy anything with parking sonar.

it has PCS (Pre-Collision System With Pedestrian Detection) but you can disable that in the settings, same on the tacoma and all the other TSS vehicles. Its in settings on the MFD. I don't try to run over pedestrians or hit cars so its never been a problem lol

I've got parking sensors on the tacoma, haven't had an issue until they are covered in snow. No rear sensors on the tundra in my configuration. Other option packages have the parking sensors, BSM, etc.

Ok? I don't have a PCS OFF option, just three sensitivity levels.
