Filled the beast for the first time after the dealer gas dwindled down to E. I used 92 octane. Holy seat of the poopy pants. Engine quieter under load, smoother and better throttle response. Dealer used 87?

Has to all be in my head.

I agree with the others, definitely a bed mat would be the first thing. Also MESO Total tail light kit is a great addition to make those dumb tail lights more functional, so sign up for notifications and get apple/Samsung pay ready because they sell out in 5 minutes.

After that it’s all preference, there’s a lot of appearance items that are relatively cheap and fun to do, plus tons else for wheels, tires, suspension, electrical, recovery yada yada yada. Find what you like and do you!

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
My truck runs better when I wash it.

...but seriously, the octane number is just an indication of the ability of an air/fuel mixture to resist detonation when compressed. Nothing more.

I have my umbrella with me today. :crapstorm:

I will admit I think my engine was a tad quieter with the higher octane fuel, but there wasn't any noticeable difference in how the vehicle performed. I stick to 87 cause I'm a cheap ass, lol.

Understood - RON+MON/2 92 Octane doesn't mystically have more energy density than say 87, but if the knock sensors are not intervening with the fuel9 metering under load I believe at least a more even torque curve can be felt. If 87 prevents all detectable knock then there should be zero difference in power, mpg.....

The blackout continues... one step closer with the badges.

It definitely took more scrubbing than expected to get the old foam adhesive off, but I guess 3+ years will do that.
I was very glad to see there was ZERO fading underneath though, makes me willing to replace the back stock TRD Offroad
sticker with something a little cleaner (and blacker) looking.
