    Anyone with a larger than normal supercharger coolant tank see lower temperatures after install. I just installed one over the weekend. 3.5 qt capacity. I wasn't expecting it to make a difference in engine temperatures but drove about 100 miles yesterday and saw lower engine temps pretty much the whole day compared to what I had been seeing. Same ambient conditions for the most part.

    Interesting. My thought behind adding a larger tank was that you'd have a larger volume of coolant that will take longer to heat up during periods of spirited driving. To see consistently lower engine temps, make me think something about your previous setup wasn't quite right. Don't know though, if you figure it out, I'd love to hear more.

    Yeah I was kind of surprised too. My coolant could have been spent and when I replaced it things are cooling better now but who knows.

    That doesnt make sense if your tank is in the engine compartment. Once the 3.5 quarts get hot (in the engine bay) then the fmic has to try to cool down all that extra fluid.
    If the tank is out of the engine bay, that's a different story.

    It should, just check the adjustment range on the tensioner after you install the belt and wrap mod.
    There is an indicator mark opposite of the tensioner arm. You want that indicator somewhere around the middle to allow movement in the tensioner arm.

    I am using the Dayco 6080695 with cut ribs but may try the Gates RPM belt at next change.

    Its in the engine bay. In the factory battery location. I did add a makeshift heat shield on the side that faces the engine though.

    My shit is all stock.
    I've got about 5k on it so far. 2.5 pulley and Rousch tensioner with my home brew wrap. Belt still looks good.

    About time someone else finally gets on board with the Davtron! You will learn sooo much about what is going on with the sc after install.

    Also, I used a 5/16" x 32 thread pitch tap to install my temp sensor probes. Drilled/tapped the holes in the sc lid then screwed them in and rtv'd for redundancy.

    I did NOT use any hardware internally as I didnt want to risk the engine eating FOD!

    I got me a tap too! Planned the same setup. The harder part is finding our where in the cab to mount the gauge..... I have very little real estate left open.
