I sleep very well, especially knowing that I tighten my shock bolts

 

X2 @CBoy808 has done my custom bedside decals and even made some custom TRD stickers for my SCS wheels. 10/10 would do again

 

Sadly, he responded that he doesn’t have Ford templates and can’t do it (@CBoy808, if I misunderstood you I’m so sorry! I’d def want them if you can do them). The other guy said probably, as long as I can get measurements. My main concern would be getting the “Ford” script just right though. So I guess either I’ll have try it with the other sticker guy from TW or roll the dice with eBay/Etsy.

 

Just put Toyota or Tacoma decals on. Then you’d at least be getting something right

The mistake was buying a van. The van has been replaced (in just under 6 months).

How’s the wind noise and wind drag with the extra height of the rack.

Thinking of getting one for a roof bar and camp lighting

 

Question for you guys. Met a guy today who is looking for a lift, wheels and tires for this 3rd gen.
- He wants to run 285/70/17s BFG KOs.
- He wants a small lift, not very expensive. He isn’t gonna offroad this hard, and maybe not even that much.
- Does not want it riding like a brick.
- He likes the Pacer old school black bullet hole look.

Thoughts on what Wheel and Suspension he should run?

 

5100, AAL, low offset wheel 0 to +10ish. Not sure I would go with the heavy and expensive BFG, lots of other ATs that cost less and will be fine for a pavement princess...lol. also should look at a standard P rated which will save 10lbs a tire. This is my opinion...I'm sure everyone will have something different. One last thing...it WILL rub somewhere..

 

I thought that with a 2.5 lift and 285/70/17s would clear the body mount if you got a rim that was close to stock offset, like the Pro wheels.
Am I wrong in thinking that?

 

I’ll probably get flack for this suggestions, but sounds like he’s the perfect candidate for a basic top plate spacer lift.

Pros: cheap, easy to install, doesn’t affect onroad ride as you’re only raising the height of the vehicle in relation to the shock/coil vs lifting via preloading the coil, provides adequate clearance for larger tires (probably trimming needed based on desired tire size)

Cons: street/insta cred isn't nearly as high as rolling kings etc., possible reduced offroad performance if the user decides to treat the spacer lifted truck as if its a trophy truck

Mickey Thomson still makes some of those bullet hole style wheels. Its a respectable name in my book.

 

Still think it will rub, maybe only in reverse. I don't know of any aftermarket wheels that run a close to stock offset, most are at least 8 inches wide on a 17"

 

Zero to slightly positive offset will be ideal to minimize contact with the body mount. The clearance issue will then be with the UCA when running a 285.

 

I am wondering this too. I have 5100's and 885 springs so about 2.25 of lift. My wheels are 17x8 0 offset 4.5 bs. I want to go from 265 70 to 285 70 but don't want to cmc if I don't have to. I'm a 2nd gen so that combo on a 3rd gen may be different which it probably is and he will be able to do it and i won't without the CMC i bet.

 

Exactly like this. 5100’s with OME springs and progressive AAL. A lot of lifts don’t rub with a 285 till taken off-road, but it definitely will once he’s out there.
