So OP are you going to go with that lift kit?
I’ve been wanting to do a minor lift on mine just for looks as well and was looking at the same one. Please let me know if you buy one and how it works out for you!

I actually just now looked at the kit in question. I'd say that's a good deal for a good kit. I would recommend also asking Marie at @HeadStrong Off-Road. They include coils for $80-ish more. If you don't want the coils they may be able to part it together for a competitive price to ORW.

Not to Hijack OPs thread but since I’m looking at this too. I have stock size tires and may at some point go to 265/75/16s. I have a RTT on during summer. Will my truck look odd when the bed is empty? Thanks guys, you (or most) are very helpful for us less car-educated guys

What do you mean by that? Why would it look odd?

Assuming you’re worried about too much rake or a bro lean? Like @tacotroy17 said, hit up Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road. They have helped tons set up lifts. I bet they have set up someone with your exact configuration. The benefit is, she knows what will give you how much lift and give you a good idea of any settling. With how much everyone recommends her, she knows her shit and isn’t out to up sell beyond your needs. I can’t wait to work with her when I’m ready to pull the trigger on mine.

I’m going to go with that kit OR 5100s all the way around, with OME 884 coils up front, then either an AAL in the rear or a one inch block.

That’s good to know since I’m leaning towards OME 884 coils so I can set the front 5100s at “zero” and let the coil do the lift. I’m hearing this is a quality setup with a very good ride for not a lot of money.

    Thanks for everyone’s input!

I must say, a portion of this thread is quite the show - I had no idea a question about struts and such could go in the direction it did! LOL!

Seriously, great group of helpful people on here.

I have 6150s in front and 5100s in the back. It's a good kit for the money. Headstrong helped me out with piecing my kit kit together. Can't beat their service.

Just curious, why go with the 884?

There’s no wrong answer. I’m trying to learn more about coils and was thinking 885s since that’ll lift the front 1.5 and the AALs will lift the rear 1.5 too

With an AAL in the rear I recommend at least 887 coils. My 887 coils settled to about 1.75” after a year on a dclb. 2” AAL lost about 1/2” as well.

So you just did the single AAL? What’s your lift amount after the settling?

Headstrong links to a helpful PDF regarding the various coils:
    https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/uploads/1/1/8/4/11846658/lift_guide_rev_4.pdf

As my truck is a 2WD, the 884 is a 1.5” lift for me, which is about what I’m looking for.
