Has anyone ever had this happen?

The nitrogen fill valve snapped off. Here is what it is soppused to look like:

I'm not sure if I hit a rock or if a suspension component is hitting it. Is there any type of armor to protect against this? Filling the shocks around me is expensive so I can't keep snapping them off lol

any oil come out? I can't remember if those ancient shocks have an IFP or not.

FYI those are not supported by fox anymore so be prepared to move on to a new set of coilovers.

a replacement part can be found here

Refill the N2 at full droop to get the proper volume in them.

They are IFP, believe it or not. I just rebuilt them so all seals are good and no oil came out, so I guess that's a plus. I didn't bother getting new valve stems because mine were holding N2 just fine.

Oh sweet thank you! I conveniently live right next to Kartek, I'll stop by after work and pick those up.

It happened again! Same side too. This issue is getting pretty frustrating and annoying. It costs $25 to fill up a shock so this is adding up quickly. Most shops won't even do it unless I remove the shock.
