I don't think so, I think the Tundra is one of those "you get what you get" when it comes to MPG lol. Obviously if you just floor it everywhere you're gonna do horrible...but within reason you're just stuck in that 12-15 range no matter what you do.

Well, 12-15 is pretty horrible. Get with the times Toyota! GM, Chevy and Ford V8s get anywhere between 19-22 miles per gallon. That's better than my Tacoma!

yeah, but you go an extra 200k miles without breakdowns compared to those trucks. I'll take crap mpg with reliability over decent mpg with crap reliability any day.

True. What I really wish, is Toyota to offer a diesel engine as an option on their trucks.

not worth the cost to them is what I've always read.

I'm honestly hoping the rumors about the hybrid technology they have coming out to the bigger engines is true. what I read for the tundras sounded pretty great to me.

He has owned 80s 4 runner and early 2000s Tacoma before he went with the '16 Tundra. He sounds like he's really unhappy with it, more truck than he really needs I guess.

The GM crate engines are reliable, as most other V8s are reliable. Companies aren't putting near as much R&D into the V8s which is keeping them reliable, but they're slowly being outclassed by V6's.

Toyota Tundra is dead last in the 1/2 ton segment. They look decent, but a new generation is needed.

how do you drive in the Corolla?

I get 40 - 43 mpg in the TDI, and I drive very spirited. Never the speed limit.

Usually 75 - 80. At least once a day I'll do an on ramp take off in 3rd all the way to 75mph. Black smoke everywhere.

alright fellas, I've posted in the home improvement and garage threads, but want to get your input as well.

you've all seen my garage and what could sorta still be called a shed. I've got a few possibilities/ideas so y'all give me your input.

    A. Leave everything as is and do nothing, and just put up with it until we move.
    B. Tear down/Rebuild the shed and move stuff out of the garage to allow for parking a vehicle in the garage.
    C. Build a carport, leave shed unusable, and just keep the garage as the shed/workshop space.
    D. Build carport AND rebuild the shed.

Save your money and sanity and build a shop at the next house. That’s my lazy answer.

    so option A you say.

do you think the ugly/rotten/useless shed should come down and just finish the corner with fencing? or just leave it as is?

If the plan is to sell, do what you can to make it have the most curb appeal/ value without sinking a lot of time and money in to it. So maybe getting rid of the rotten ugly shed would be a good idea or just leave it for the next owner if it won’t affect resale. That’s my thought process at least.

yeah, the only issue with this plan is the lady and how long we are going to stay in this house. I don't know how long we will stay, I hope not long...but if it's any length of time at all she's going to want a shed and garage/carport to park in and whatnot.
