dang! If that’s the river I think it is (W*) I have never seen it that low. It’s has always been deeper than the hood when I’ve been there there. Did you come in from the other state or stay all on the coastal state side?

I could, but I'd prefer to wire a switch up to control the front diff actuator before I go that route. Plus I'd rather just get a non-ADD diff tube if I was to just go the route you have in mind.

We crossed the state line a few times getting there. The trail we took weaves back and forth

That's the easier way in. I'll never take the other way in again. Too rocky and slow - I'd rather ride my mountain bike.

Auto IFS skid vs Manual IFS skid... is the difference to ckear the bottom of the Auto trans radiator hanging down farther?

Took this J.C. Whitney bullbar and LED light off and sold it to a fifty some year old guy. Looks so much better without it. They were on there when I bought the truck a few weeks ago. Now I can get to work on making a front hitch for the deer carrier.

At least he didn't have his tent stolen. Petty theft is a such a huge problem where he lives. When I saw that story pop up on Instagram I barely had a reaction other than "well, no one is going to steal that now".

Sounds like that thing weighs about as much as a small house, but I guess a little big chain is cheap insurance.

Yeah it's just funny that in the day or two that he was using the chains, he got spotted by a vendor that used it to promote their product lol

I have a similar setup to Tyler's, but I use a steel cable instead of chains. Goes around the tent, thru the bed rack and thru my hi-lift and spare tire. Only takes a couple minutes to undo it when I'm going out on a camping trip and I leave the cable at home.

One day when I have a place with a garage I'll keep the tent stored off the truck, but don't have anywhere to keep it currently. And it's a bitch to remove/install without a system in place

Personally, I think the chain from HD might be a just a bit overkill. If I'm not mistaken, his sits higher than yours as well, heavier also? Bit more difficult to walk off with his I imagine.

Insurance factor is a question mark. Good to confirm with carrier if exterior gear/non-factory equipment is covered. With AAA, they wouldn't cover my cap or rack unless I paid additional. Ameriprise said it was covered. Need to check with my current carrier since I switched to Liberty Mutual. Even if there is a hit to the premium to cover it, I would - especially with all the coin sunk into gear these days.
