I went from 1.5 87 base to 2.0 87 GL, and with 70 miles, so far, in town (30-45 mph) my mileage has dropped. No resets.

On 1.05, gear lock is only available on the performance tunes. Maybe its the same for the 2.0 beta? :notsure:

The beta 2.0 tunes all have gearlock. This will change with the final release, as will quite a few other things that were left out of 2.0 beta

I havent flashed to 2.0 yet but one thing I dont understand is how is that a lot of people getting good gas mileage? I flashed my truck about 2 weeks ago to 91 octane performance tune but I'm averaging 14.5 to 15.5 mpg. Not sure if my truck is calculating everything correctly but I'm already on my third tank and driving close to 600 miles and still averaging below before I tuned my truck. Not complaining, I really like the tune. But can it because I'm running 285's with 18 inch rims and on 4.88 gears? Before i did the tune i was averaging around 17.5 to 18.5 mpg. I was hoping that the tune will improve it to something like 22 to 24 mpg.

My trip is to and from work is 22 miles 95% of which is freeway with very little hills. Not really many stop and go traffic. Only added weight I have is the 285 tires, 18 inch rims, 2.5 inch Eibach lift kit, OEM TRD Skidplate, MX5 Bakflip Tonneau, aftermarket exhaust and CAI. Other than that it's pretty much stock

Even then, the AT gearing and FD ratio don't really allow the best cruise MPG, IMHO. I think you agree since the 4.88 gears are missing from your post? :D

A slightly higher than typical freeway run for me (at the time, the computer was showing 0.5mpg high):
    IMG_20190218_145654.jpg

I will usually see 21 to 23 on my commutes, and my average is below.

I really don't feel like I have a lead foot, but I'm used to vehicles that don't need to be prodded to move forward. I'm only average 16.7 in the 2000 miles since going on 91 base. I was at 18.5 stock, but went to skinny 33s right before getting tuned.

I do? I play in the upper RPMs a couple times a day. If I see an open freeway ramp or a set of corners, I'm playing around.

IMO with the later versions of OVT (1.05 FOB (Perf for the AT crowd) and 2.0 beta), there is no prodding involved. YMMV?

Has anyone submitted for a new registry file in the last 2 or so weeks? I sent my system ID on the 7/31 and have not heard back. I do not see anything on their website indicating why its taking more than 3-5 days. I know they are super busy and I do not mind waiting I was just curious to see if anyone else is in the same boat. Can't wait!

Please PM me your name or order number, the wait time isn't that long. But we do have a problem with some tickets from yahoo emails going straight to the zendesk spam folder

You are not going to see 22-24 mpg with those tires and lift regardless of tune. You'll need light passenger hwy tires. Also, check the weight of your tires. it seems some 18-inch wheels are significantly heavier than stock. Also, your computer is off by around 7% so your actual mpg is better. My mpg actually improved post 4.88 gears but it was never that bad as I run 33 skinnies and live at 6K feet. Prior 1.05 91 base tune was averaging around 19mpg but did hit 20 last week. Post I am sitting a bit lower but don't have enough miles yet. It was showing almost 21 mpg on the computer today on a 40-mile hwy trip today. 40 mile trip back showed 18 but much more slow driving in neighborhoods before hwy with more traffic. I did notice better holding and accel on hwy without the need to drop to 4th.

For those of you discussing MPG, don't forget to recalculate the values using your specific tire information. For example, with my specific set of 33" skinnies, I need to multiply all displayed mileage and speed figures by 1.079 to determine the actual values.

I prefer to use the revs-per-mile method for determining the differences. In my case, it's 682 revs per mile versus the stock tires' 632 revs per mile, or 682/632=1.079. All common tires have a revs-per-mile value that you can probably find on the manufacturer websites.

Don’t forget the math. Indicated divided by 0.92. So 16.7/0.92=18.2mpg.

Ihave the same setup, but I’m probably a little heavier.
I get 18.5 combined indicated on 93 octane with stock gears or 20mpg.

I always reset the value with TS, but I’m not sure it is the reason. I also don’t baby the skinny pedal. Anything over 70 mph and that number starts to fall fast.
