I want to install a backup camera by tapping into my reverse light of my 2006 Tacoma. What size t-tap (or what is the wire gauge) would be required?

Personally I’d never use those, they are not water tight. I’m a firm believer in a good splice, solder and heat shrink.

    Too few to list.
I'd only consider using t-taps inside the cab. Tapping the reverse light wires from the tail lamps will be exposed to the elements so like above, I'd solder and heat shrink.

You can tap into the reverse wire in the cab behind the driver side foot well. I can't find a diagram of the wiring right now though. I did it when I put in aux reverse lights through a relay and dpdt switch. If I find it I'll post it if someone else hasn't posted it.
