Looking for a Mobtown Offroad transmission and transfer case skid plate for exhaust reroute. I would ideally like to buy. But if not for sale I would like to borrow. I am going to windrock park at the end of the month to attend ATR and want to be protected. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Check with Eddy at SOS. I believe his Trans and t-case skids will mount up. He is offering 15% off to folks going to ATR and will deliver the product at ATR.

Hows it going guys! Pretty new to the Tacoma game, coming from an M4. Just got some side steps and a diamondback mounted up on the truck and looking to get it lifted. I am pretty set on going with an OME setup with 886s and the Dakar in the rear. I've done some work in the past and am pretty handy but never anything like a lift install. Where in tampa could I go to get this done without breaking the bank? Are there any guys on here that can help with something like this for a few bucks less that a shop?

I'm down to help ya out. I'm in the North Tampa/Forest Hills area. Are you getting the coilovers assembled or will we have to take the stock one's apart and assemble the OMEs?

Man, that’s awesome ! Wasn’t sure what kind of reply I’d get. I think ordering them assembled is the way to go tbh, I think I’m gonna go with 886 springs so I am prepped to add a bumper/winch in a few months. What’s ur opinion on this kit over say an icon stage 1. I feel like you get a lot for the money with the ome and if I swap my uca down the road I should be pretty capable.

I'm not really a fan of Icon. I've heard a lot of negative things about them in terms of durability, especially for the cost. I'm running OME w/Dakars on my Tacoma (although, I have replaced the rear shocks with Bilstein 5125s which ride a lot better than the rear OME Nitrochargers ever did, but I'm also running a custom shock mounting), and Billies/Eibach/Toytec on my T4R. Oddly, the Billies/Eibachs seem to work better on the T4R than they did on the Tacoma. I love the Dakars, with the caveat that they position the axle slightly forward in the wheel well which is annoying if you plan to articulate your suspension at all. I used to recommend All Pros since they didn't have that problem, but they were going through a rough patch a while ago and I have no idea if they got their crap straight yet.

If you got the jack, and wanted go with a more high end suspension, I think I'd stick with King, Fox, or ADS...IMHO, for what it's worth. I can't afford to run that high end stuff, but people that do seem to like it. I'm sure a lot of others on here will have some opinions that you'll find helpful. I can't claim to be an expert on 2nd and 3rd Gen suspension performance. I can put it on, but I run a 1st Gen so that's what I have experience with performance-wise.

Oh, and while you're at it, I'd check out Ruff Stuff Specialty Products and order a ubolt flip kit from the rear axle, since you'll have it all apart anyway. If you plan to go off road with any frequency, think about deleting your sway bar as well.

Yaaa, I know. Just looking for a real insight (even if in a pm). I live like five minutes from Stadium Toyota but would rather drive to someplace I could trust rather than convenience. lol

Not trying to get anyone thrown in to the Toyota clink per say.

Right on man! I am really trying to be moderate and not drop an insane amount of cash. I think I can get the ome and tires for round about $2500 if I can work with you guys locally to help get it on, saving a few bucks over shop costs. This will likely be more than I will ever need, that being said if I did have the skrill those Bp-51s look killer haha.

I'll admit, while I am the token Interco Tire Snob, that's because I put less than 2000 miles a year on my vehicles and Intercos last far longer than any other tire I'm aware of before they rot terminally. If mileage wear is a factor, I would honestly recommend Toyo/Nitto (same tire, just different tread patterns). Toyos are cheaper and their AT2 tread pattern looks a little more aggressive than the Terra Grappler, but the Trail Grapplers are good tires as are the Toyo MTs.

Yes please, I'll send a PM soon. I got an 8yr warranty on this truck so figured I'd let Toyota do the services so it's documented and such. Coming up on my 30-35k service now.

Don't forget @Timbo's Customs as well. They love ganging up on me over my superior choice in off-road tires.

I am curious though, now that @allenfab has gone to tons and 37s, if I have more clearance under my axles with 36s than he does now. Naturally, he's on a whole other level than I am in every other respect, but I might just have a small advantage in that one little area.

It's all in fun. If we all liked the same things it'd be a boring world, although I wish the community of Off-Road Enthusiasts was more united so we could actually make an impact on the state and federal government to have access to more public land to wheel on. I actually had an opportunity to do it too, but then Mom passed and that pretty much derailed my chance since my head just wasn't in the game for a while. Not even sure I'm back yet, though leveling up the OGT has been good for me.

The crappy part is, I tried to pass the torch to keep the ball rolling but it seems nobody else was willing to take the lead. Pretty sorry lot we are if the one with crippling social anxiety is the one that got the state to suggest a meeting to discuss creation of an off-road park for us and then everyone else dropped the ball when I got sidelined.

Haha, sorry, alcohol induced rant. Running low on soda so I had to switch to beer so I didn't have to go to the store.
