BLACKED OUT, let’s see’em!!!

Off Road has 16" and the Sport has 17"

 

Whenever I see these "murdered out" vehicles, I look at the driver to check if they're wearing white sunglasses.

 

WTF, I want a power locking tailgate!

 

Thanks Shakerhood, My Sport did have 17”. The dealer did the deal where they bought mine and put me in a new one. For $20 more a month...he’ll yeah. Didn’t realize that the TRD had 16” rims until I put the Tires from the Sport next to it. I haven’t done much to mine. Bought it with the wide running boards, got the AVS in channel vent shades and swapped the Gator trifold tonneau from the 2016. Just an upgrade to 17” rims is on my holiday wish list. Sorry pretty tame for what options are out there. Just a daily driver for me and will try and keep it clean.

What kind of headlights are these? I know they are blacked out, but did you have someone do them for you ?

Yikes. They charged $399 for overlays, a bolt on exhaust tip and the tailgate stickers? Just did all of that myself and the grand total came up to about 200ish and it took about 15 to 20 minutes to install everything.

And over 600 for the predator tube steps? I really hate dealerships sometimes.

 

I'd politely disagree. "Sporty" vehicles will always lean more towards black accents than chrome. Chrome suggests luxury. Black suggests sportiness. It's sort of a cornerstone of automotive design. A lot of it is definitely personal preference though when it comes to aftermarket changes.

 

I bought the truck used with 2850 miles on it. I would have NEVER paid that for those items in reality. Personally, I'm not a fan of the blacked-out look. But was on the truck and I searched long and hard for a used LONG bed and went from So Illinois to Dallas to get it. And, lol, the Predator steps are off and I have them sold for $100. Didn't care for them either...

 

Nice nittos man. If you're looking to black out some more, check out the morimoto fogs. They have a black backing so when they're off the housing is blacked out. I'm getting some for mine . That and Meso's smoked turn signals which I just put on. (No pics ATM, but will post later on)

And for the record I think you've done a decent job of blacking out your truck. You have the rims, debadged, got rid of the chrome grill, tinted the windows., did most of the interior (steering wheel still has chrome emblem) so for what it's worth I think it's pretty blacked out, esp considering what it started as.
