Yeah it's just funny that in the day or two that he was using the chains, he got spotted by a vendor that used it to promote their product lol

I have a similar setup to Tyler's, but I use a steel cable instead of chains. Goes around the tent, thru the bed rack and thru my hi-lift and spare tire. Only takes a couple minutes to undo it when I'm going out on a camping trip and I leave the cable at home.

One day when I have a place with a garage I'll keep the tent stored off the truck, but don't have anywhere to keep it currently. And it's a bitch to remove/install without a system in place

Personally, I think the chain from HD might be a just a bit overkill. If I'm not mistaken, his sits higher than yours as well, heavier also? Bit more difficult to walk off with his I imagine.

Insurance factor is a question mark. Good to confirm with carrier if exterior gear/non-factory equipment is covered. With AAA, they wouldn't cover my cap or rack unless I paid additional. Ameriprise said it was covered. Need to check with my current carrier since I switched to Liberty Mutual. Even if there is a hit to the premium to cover it, I would - especially with all the coin sunk into gear these days.

Honestly, we didn’t mean to make fun of that setup at all. The comment at the bottom was added by Ricky. We just re-posted the story. I thought it was funny, but had no negative intentions posting it.
We definitely don’t compare our campers to RTT’s, or make fun of people to promote our business. There are pros and cons to every setup. And that’s a nice setup!

    Sorry @BartMaster1234 !

We’re not typically in this thread, because of plastic bed issues, but I’ll just leave this here...

i am going to attempt to do my fuel filter this weekend with some TW 'help' on standby in St.Louis because I may also have to replace front fuel tube due to breakage
it has not been changed since your truck was like totally brand new :( ... was told its a lifetime part and was refused to be changed upon request many times

the last time I personally changed a fuel filter it looked like this with rubber hoses attached! and a simple reach over in the top engine compartment

Give the fitting connections a dose of 50/50 ATF and acetone and let soak for a couple of days. Make sure to use line wrenches, not open ends. Good luck! Oh, and be prepared to get a spray of gas when they break free.
