Oh yay, washed the truck and Camry yesterday and what do I wake up to this morning? Rain. FML. Stupid me left it parked under the tree by the garage so now all the sap stains are back. Don't think I'll ever own another white vehicle, especially a single stage Toyota...

The parking lot at my work has trees that practically rain sap. I swear the trees just bleed it out and the wind takes it from there, scattering it all over everybody's vehicles. The worst part is that it won't come off when washing, it's like tar.

It's frustrating to spend an entire weekend using a clay bar/polish/wax only to have the paint feel like sandpaper the following week.

I feel your pain! The worst part is I've spent so much time getting the paint back up to snuff. I had atleast 7 hours total polishing it out. It was so damn chalky and faded I had it looking good, but it still gets stained. My old S10 was white as well, but it was more of a beater so I just sprayed it down with degreaser.

Gotta love that single-stage paint. I used to have an '88 Cougar XR7 that had no clearcoat, and the sun would just destroy that paint. I used to dry it off with a chamois and the paint would just transfer onto it, lol.

I just compounded the single-stage paint on the Taco this past weekend, but now I'm afraid to take it out of the garage because it's going to start fading again. :pout:

    Thanks!
Yeah, they bolted right up and have no issues or vibrations - even the hubs are a very close match between the two vehicles. :taco:
