    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

    There's your problem ;)

Honestly, I disliked every set of pads I tried with my stock calipers... and seemed like I had to replace discs once a year.

Tundra brakes = best thing I've done to the truck so far... hands down.

The rears hardly ever wear out. Just keep them in adjustment and youll be happy with a nice firm pedal. Mine needs the drums turned though, as the back end shakes during hard braking.

How? I have 210k on my truck and I guarantee the PO never touched the brakes and I have even wear on the drum (uneven wear on the pads due to not being adjusted until I got the truck at 165k).

:notsure: PO maybe? Always done it since Ive owned the truck for 2 years now. Steering wheel doesnt shake, so it has to be the rears. Got way more noticeable last time I had them cleaned and adjusted.

my fathers 02 has been doing good with the EBC pads and rotors. rotors havnt warped in 3 sets of EBC greens in the past 130k miles and it stops pretty damn good (bone stock with a factory installed snugtop cap)

If you put on ~4" wheel spacers, your 15's would fit no problem with the Tundra brakes.

I think yes. Soft long breaking combined with engine breaking but I have a 5spd..

The pads on my DD are 100k / 11 years old. I believe they're akebono.

The stopping power of the Tundra brakes is night and day (to begin with)

As I said before, I was blowing through rotors nearly every year. (replaced the rotors 3 times in 4 years)

And I tried everything from OEM to Akebono, to Napa Premium, to Vatozone to O'reillys and never found a stock set of pads that was even worth half a shit.

2+ years on Tundras... just changed pads for the 1st time (and still had over 15% left on them) rotors are still nearly perfect.

My pads and rotors get roasted every year it seems, lots of mountain travel fully loaded though. Also ride the brakes quite bit trailing to go slow and look for tracks.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Heavy loads going camping coming down the hill was almost definately the reason for warping.
