It was at first, but we took extreme measures before even placing the wrap. We had alcohol wipe downs and air hose on standby. We would wipe down with the isopropyl, then air gun down the surface of the panel, then pick up the precut wrap piece then air gun that off front and back before getting it close to the truck, then place. Only had contaminants on one piece and that was on a small portion of the camper because it touched the underneath of the edge so some loose fiberglass stuck to the wrap. But other than that, no contaminants.

CV boot repair lol. Nothing exciting at all :annoyed:

Also gonna tackle some small stuff too.

Gonna paint those section of white in the inner fender wells, oil change, install the camper window finally and then going out to Reno this weekend to snag a tailgate hopefully lol. Thanks to @siznarf for the tailgate heads up

Shit my memory sucks today. I forgot about your CV axle. That's a messy job. I just put in a new CVJ axle instead. 35mm nut!

    New boot goofin’

So far so good. Haven’t had to hammer the inner go removed from diff and the tulip fell right off when I lifted the CV up by it causing me to almost drop the axle lol

This job ain’t as bad as I thought!

Right? People are scared of rebooting CV. It’s extremely with a couple specialty pliers. Just messy is all.

are you happy with your 4.56 regear? Do you ever wish for 4.88?

In a few months I'll be getting a ARB locker installed in the rear, so I should regear at that time to save money. I do almost all the work myself, but these are beyond my TW/youtube/hayes manual skillset. I think we are around the same weight. I got Bruteforcefab front hybrid, rear HC no swingout, full set of heavy ass BAMF skids (trilogy, LCAs, Diff diaper), BAMF sliders DOM, full sized spare in bed, Warn M8s, and 33s right now. I will be going up to 34-35s not long that after regearing and the rear locker. Perhaps I am a little lighter than you, but will be close. I also like those decked drawer systems which would add some weight. Anyways I am starting my regear research and was looking into 4.56 or 4.88 right now and thought it be wise to ask those that are already went through this. :boink:

One day, when im not poor, i want to lock and regear. People complaining about the arbs leaking has me considering a harrop but.. Anyways

Yeah, how them gears working out? I always assumed 4.56s would be plenty, but ive also read people arnt really noticing a difference between 4.88 and 4.56s

@Motofox to be clear i liked everything about your post except the ARB leaking ... :D
I too am poor, but i have my own one man consulting company on the side of my full time job. Do to my field and nature of work I can write my truck costs off. Either I pay taxes or use it towards my business, which includes my truck. I still pay rent and no where near getting a house, but perhaps one day I will not be so broke.

Im currently stashing every extra cent away so that i can move to idaho (where i can afford a house lol), so all my truck mods/gun mods/any other mods are all on hold for a couple years.

Ive read that some people have leaks, some dont. Ive read most dont have issues at first, others have had their axle seals blown out by air pressure in the diff due to leakage. Most of these are like most things on TW, concentrated negative occurrences, ignoring the millions of successful lockers lol

Still 80% sure ill go the arb route, onboard air with QD air chucks would be clutch. Its just scary, since if something went wrong that is way out of my capabilities and would mean trips to a mechanic/installer (which may be in a different state at the point a problem arises)

Anyways... Hows your install Matt? Lol

So far the 4.56’s are awesome. I haven’t had a real chance to see how the 35’s respond off-road cause I’ve been working weekends for the last month and a half, but on highway it’s nice. 65mph is about 2300 rpms so not too bad. It’s got some gettyup at lights taking off and with all the weight it’s good enough for me still.

I was also looking at the decked systems for a while but then saw how much weight they add and figured I didn’t really need that right now but maybe later on down the line.

As far as the lockers and compressor goes, no leaks :fingerscrossed: Lol had all of my work done at 559 Motorsports and Jake let me know that he heard similar things as well about air lockers, but their are so many dudes rocking them with no issues as well that you never hear, I said what the hell:D
