    If you would like to know everything the truck knows about what is going on under the hood at any given time then yes... If you are cool with having the CEL coming on and just taking it into the shop to get looked at, then no. It has the ability to read all of your codes, provide alarms when things aren't to spec, and turn off the CEL if it is something that is not an issue and you are aware of. Only thing it doesn't do that I know of is provide HP approximations which doesn't really matter all that much anyway. For $55, I say you can't go wrong... And I don't see this price staying here for much longer either.
