A good friend of ours lost a dog to it. It's happening a lot where I live lately. We don't swim our dog in August or September anymore around here.

It was reported in River that’s close to us. Haven’t had a problem before but thought I’d share

The ponds around here don't have any warnings, so I would assume they could all potentially have it during hot weather. Around here any lake of decent size has it posted on the reader board when it tests positive in the lake. A good idea is to always swing by the reader board of any lake you're going to beforehand, they're always at the boat launches. But for us, we don't really mess with it anymore after watching what happened first hand.

About a month ago, after a swim in a local creek, my lab started vomiting and trembling and had a seizure. Not sure if it was toxins in the water but she appeared to have all the symptoms. Vet was unsure. She recovered and seems fine now but I thought we might lose her. Very hard to keep labs out of water, so for now we hike in areas with no water

I'm glad to hear she's ok. Super scary.

I with you. Even having a lab that's really good on leash, seeing water does something to them. If it's water they've been in before, good luck holding them back. They're wired differently lol. If they can't be in it, you have to keep it out of their view completely.

Our Ac went out. I hooked up a temporary and just fixed the house Ac. Didn’t get much sleep.

Then...we got a new bed for Sony (the boxer), and Hershel decided it was his instead.
