They are way better than the stock ones. They stay on better and they are textured where they are easy to turn.

And they look coll with blue lights.

My HVAC selector is stuck on the feet position. Which is less than ideal in the middle of summer.

Anyone have any ideas what to look at before I start ripping things apart?

You get what you pay for, I think you can get generic pads for 30.00 at Pepboys then if 110.00 is too much

Did you guys need to tighten that shit uncomfortably tight to get it to not leak like I did?

Hopefully I'll never need to replace it then. :p Considering I only drive the truck 20k a year max anymore I should hopefully be good for a while. I was just stressing the fuck out tightening it up, I was fully expecting it to strip.

When I did mine, I made sure to have new washers for both ends. Not sure how different it is on the 3.4 vs my 2.7 though

Shameless plug for a product I recently skeptically bought but has blown me away: I hooked it up and used the Torque app on an old android phone I had sitting around. Great functionality and connection each of you should have one in your tool box.

I use one of those little bluetooth ECU dongles with the Torque app as well, I really like the Torque app but my only complaint is how quickly it drains my phone's battery. I can't keep my phone plugged into my truck because it's an old beat up POS (the phone, not my truck...well maybe a little bit of both) and if I run the Torque app for 30 min or so it'll kill half my phone battery.

You can do a ton of stuff with that app though, the list of plug ins and different readings you can monitor is huge. I haven't tried them all. I really only use it to monitor coolant temp, intake temp, short/long term fuel trims, and to scan for codes
