I use one of those little bluetooth ECU dongles with the Torque app as well, I really like the Torque app but my only complaint is how quickly it drains my phone's battery. I can't keep my phone plugged into my truck because it's an old beat up POS (the phone, not my truck...well maybe a little bit of both) and if I run the Torque app for 30 min or so it'll kill half my phone battery.

You can do a ton of stuff with that app though, the list of plug ins and different readings you can monitor is huge. I haven't tried them all. I really only use it to monitor coolant temp, intake temp, short/long term fuel trims, and to scan for codes

Whose has done the big 3 upgrade? Isnt there a guy who sells a kit on here? Id like to do it and I wouldnt mind saving some time and just buying a kit.

Maybe it's time for me to enter the market since I need to build one for my truck.

Sucks that all of their posts were deleted as well with the permaban. Here's another member posting about the kit they received so you can at least see the photos there. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/stage-1-full-battery-harness-replacement.315939/

There is lots of controversy on TW about Bamatoy. Building your own kit is very satisfying.

Yup basically all of this. Realistically building my own kit was easy enough, and I have already use the crimper tool for many other things. Used it to make my own harness for the winch, bringing a fuse panel the the bed, and will eventually use it for building a dual battery setup.

I sprayed the fittings the day before a few times with PB blaster then just prior to breaking loose I used some Trizol Creep Penetrating Oil I got from work. 19mm and 14mm line wrench and they came right off. Just snugged them back up normal and no leaks. I had more trouble removing the bracket than getting the lines off. If it was replaced before, the previous guy half stripped the front nut.

I had a heck of a time getting it to not leak. Wasn’t stripped, just had to be really tight.

per @cruiserguy rec on best trim dressing/protectant to use I started the 1st treatment with this 303 Aerospace, it may require several apps to get back to 'near like-new'
it has some associated streaking with it as it does not air dry well
my OCD disorder desires the black trimmings on my tacoma to be sharp and the weather, sun, age has taken tolls onit
i do not wish to replace all rubber trims unless they get torn, etc. just one spot on the driver door sil that has to be watched with TLC (that bastard mechanic left a friggn footprint onit last time i let somebody drive it)

this will be the 4th product I have tried ... hoping this one has best results that will not wash off with rain, touchless wash, etc.
I will let you know the deets on using this $9 bottle if you are at all interested
if you have a better product you swear by (like @cruiserguy almost did lol) post 'em up

the change of appearance in parts of the cowl i have done are good so far, ... i will try to expose it to elements for verification on durability
    peace!
