I just got back from my local Toyota Dealer and here's what they recommend:

    - Recommend EFI: $189
    - Recommend Optimizer: $199
    - Recommend Brake Fluid Flush: $189
    - Recommend 4X4 Differential Fluid Service: $230
    - Recommend Power Steering Fluid Exchange: $199

Is this legit or should I get quotes from a local auto shop?

There’s no reason for them to tell you all of that needs to be done at only 30k miles

The only service I'd consider on that list would be the diff. But somewhere else.

There's a reason the call them Stealerships. Run... My opinion at 30K you don't need any of those services.

I have no idea what the first two are, but the prices for the Brake and PS are BS. I did pay about that much for MT, T case, diff fluids, and other supplies though with plenty of leftovers. I won't touch them again until 60k.

Change the oil and the air filter. Consider plugs and diff service at 50K-60K.

Any service before 50k miles is usually just oil change, tire rotation, air filters.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
    Not needed.
    Also rediculously high prices.

Differential oil is only one might not be a bad idea but not critical either. It's an easy DIY under $100 worth of synthetic oil or much less for normal oil.

Iridium plugs from the factory. The interval is much longer than that.

@elduder . I was incorrect. It is 60k for the plugs. I missed it when reading through the Maint Guide. I thought it was 120k.

Why are they recommending it? Are you constantly on 4x4, driving downhill around extremely sharp twisties?

If not, stick to the oil change and tire rotation.

It is known that dealerships will recommend services you don't need to make profit. Shouldn't be a surprise to you or anyone.

Since I am just getting toward 25k, I haven't looked. The engine document is really a good read. The maint guide says 60k.

Edit: the engine document on Page 114 says Denso FK20HBR8. Three grounds.
