E locker out of a 2010 tacoma

Here's the schematic that shows how some people wire it. The part of this that I find iffy is that they are using the limit switches to switch off the motor power. I would speculate that Toyota only uses the limit switches for signalling and switches the power with a transistor or relay.

 

This is how it works,
When you hit the switch the motor is powered until it hits the limit switch, then power is turned off ( it does not need power to hold it there), then when u hit the switch again, the same thing happens again.
Power is only used to and from, if it used power to hold it on one side or the other 2 things would happen.
1, there would be no need for limit switches
2, the motor would most definitely burn up.
Try holding your ceiling fan while it's on, it will start smoking and burn up.
