Evidently on the 2nd gens, the shaft is pressed into the front cover of the transmission. OEM only sells the front cover with the shaft as an assembly, there aren't any other aftermarket options out there. Still gonna burn a hole in my pocket though.

 

How much they charging you for labor?

 

Not sure. $975 out the door with taxes, labor, and all. Except for the extra $300 for that input shaft/transmission cover assembly. So $1275 parts/labor/tax. I was expecting to pay that much though...

 

I might grab the deck from you if you decided to part out.

Edit: I see everyone lining up for it on posts below. Dam you guys really do need to do some work during the day.

 

lol I'm not parting out anything, but I would sell the decked simply because I am not using it to it's potential. I've got miscellaneous stuff packed away in it, but it's all stuff that could fit in a little toolbox too

this guy in a cube near me was talking about this leak he noticed coming from his car. the guy beside me asked "what color is it?". he responded "kinda clear like water". the guy asked "is it just the condensation from your AC?". the guy legit pauses for like 30-45seconds and then says "what's that? is that something that can happen to my car?"

lol yeah I mean I'll take it out as soon as I can if someone is serious about wanting it. I really thought I'd organize the crap out of it and use it like crazy, but I keep all my tools in the garage and just throw the ones I need in a bucket when we go riding...if I had 2 sets of it all I'd keep the decked organized but it's mainly just a crap catcher. Andrew sold it to me for the same reason I'd sell it...just not using it for what it should be. it's such a good product I freaking love it...but I can use the money for something else

You absolutely can. The DECKED system has a 2000lb payload on top and 200lbs in each drawer.

 

You can add them anywhere you want. Just drill holes in the top that dont interfere with the drawers and add d rings everywhere

 

There are a couple of ways to strap a motorcycle, or anything for that matter, down to the DECKED system. You can still access the factory tie downs through the ammo can, you can mount new tie down hooks above the DECKED system, or for lighter items, our Core-Trax have a 500lb pull out load capability.
